Publisher's summary

The secrets have bloomed . . . beware of the thorns.

Ivy Rune is shocked to receive a position at the Count’s forbidden castle, until the Count’s charming young heir, Jack reveals her late father’s connection there. Ivy accepts, determined to finally uncover her father’s secret life and learn more about her magic.

But the castle holds more secrets than her father’s last journal. Unspoken rules govern the halls, danger lurks around every corner, and knowing who to trust is impossible. Soon it’s clear that her father's secrets are not the only ones hidden in these walls—others are keeping secrets too.

When Ivy discovers a friend in grave danger and learns the dark reason behind the Count’s Woodworking Tournament, she is desperate to protect her friend and escape. To succeed, Ivy must solve her father's clues and unlock her true potential. But if she fails, Ivy will meet the same mysterious fate that claimed her father.

If you enjoyed the grand halls in House of Salt and Sorrows and the gothic atmosphere of Belladonna, you'll love this lush fantasy world brimming with suspense, magic, and friendship.

Absolutely Riveting!

This audiobook had me hooked from the start. Ivy Rune's journey through the Count's castle is packed with twists, turns, and surprises that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story is so engaging, and the characters are incredibly well-developed. The narration is top-notch, bringing each character to life in such a vivid way. I found myself completely immersed in the world of the book, and I couldn’t stop listening. If you love magic, mystery, and fantastic storytelling, this is a must-listen. Highly recommend!

In Search Of Her Father

I enjoyed book two as much as book one in "The Everlight Series". I liked the unfolding revelations of the clues left by her father which helped Ivy in her search for him. I was entertained by Ivy's cleverness. I admired the unusual magic which flowed through the tale. I thought Kim Churchill's narration was great, and her performance kept my attention. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which included my honest opinions about this story.

Beautifully crafted mystery and character evolution

Castle Ever Dark builds cohesively from the first book in the series, tying together pieces the reader wondered about. From the beautiful town of Windermere to the newly introduced mysterious castle, you can’t help but to keep turning pages and chapters. Ivey has you rooting for her all the way through. I’m thankful the second book was released so quickly and anxiously await the continuing story in book 3!
