I was happy to read this on release day as I was looking forward to it for a while now.
I really enjoyed this story and appreciate the different/fresh direction in the storyline.
There were sometimes throughout the book that were less believable or that I wish more follow up was made (into several secondary characters such as Richard, Nadia, Morgan, etc.) but over all very enjoyable.
My only critique is very minor and it's really because I'm a sucker for southern accents...
So while I ADORE Jason Clarke (in all things really!) the female narrator I think her name is Virginia Rose, she didn't speak with a southern accent and with the character background of Emily I highly expected that.
She wasn't bad at all just not what I expected.
There are some voices that almost always have a slight southern inflection such as Andi Arndt or Erin Mallon that would've been good....
Actually, Jason's female voice with an accent was pretty great, that accent was good and strong.
Overall- Great Read!!!

Where do you start? Firstly A.L. Jackson tore my heart out, ripped it to shreds then put it back together again. I was fully invested in Emily and Royce’s story from the first to the last chapter.

Narrated by Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke who did a stellar job in bringing across all the passion and drama across, they certainly did justice to the storyline. They clearly had different voices for the characters and this added to my enjoyment.

There were times when I was on the edge of my seat as the drama, angst, regrets, sacrifices, passion and heat unfolded. I love a bad boy with a heart of gold that will swoop in to save the heroine and Royce certainly does that and more.

Emily and Royce together are a great couple and I was riveted as I listened to hear how these two damaged souls could and would mend each other.

First of all, I want to say that Virginia and Jason did an excellent job in their performances. I thought they did a great job with not only the main characters, but with all the other ones as well.

I just had a really hard time getting into this book. I started it about four times, then went to a different book, only to come back to this one to finally listen to it. I don’t know why I did not enjoy it. I didn’t connect with the characters and it just seem to drag on so long. I usually like Amie’s books but didn’t care for this one. Actually, I haven’t really enjoyed the series.

I think the only two characters that were charming in this book were Reese and Meg. I’m hoping they get their love story written because they were cute together.

A L Jackson has composed a very poignant, in-depth experience writing a song of life touching the horrors and limitless joys while struggling to reach the ultimate goal of success in the music industry. A book I will read many times. These narrators have further enhanced the intense emotional trials and triumphs.

Narrators were awesome - could listen to Jason all day. A lot of twists at the end made it surprising. You are not sure exactly what has happened until the end. Story keeps you interested!

This one was a bit slow & tough to get through. What I think was supposed to be suspense was repeated, cryptic inner thoughts. Made it more frustrating instead of pulling me into the story. I love Jason Clarke’s narration but wasn’t enough for more stars.

A.L. Jackson is at it again! She knocked this Audible Original out of the park. It had all the authors classic touches. Intrigue, twists & turns, angst, thrilling moments, heartbreak...and so much more. The narrators, especially Jason Clarke did an incredible job of bringing life to the characters! He also did such a good job at changing his voice for each character he read and I appreciate that. He made me believe. But above all else he made me FEEL. He brought so much life to the authors words I was on the edge of my seat and my ears were happy!
