Publisher's summary

"Ray Porter is the perfect book narrator. He submerges so completely into each character that they come alive as individuals. He allows the story to speak rather than making it ‘his’. He’s also fun to work with –and we have done a ton of projects together. It’s to the point that I hear his voice in my head when I’m writing. And even though he’s reading my work, his performance is so nuanced and entertaining that it allows me to listen to my own audiobooks as if they are brand new. It’s a fantastic working partnership." Jonathan Maberry on Ray Porter

Joe Ledger and Rogue Team International plunge into mortal peril as this new and deadly arms race threatens to ignite new wars throughout the Middle East.

After years of searching, a new cave filled with Dead Sea Scrolls is found, and among them are bizarre books of actual magic. Terrorist groups and multinational corporations scramble to acquire these treasures in the hopes that magic is the true WMD of the 21st Century. But everyone who goes near those scrolls goes insane. The fabric of reality is shredding. Is this the result of ancient magic, or is it a new bioweapon that fractures the mind of anyone exposed?

Cave 13 pits Joe Ledger against warring factions of ideological terrorism, corporate greed, and massive international crime syndicates in what might well become a new Age of Miracles.

The rant about masks was necessary?

Dude. I’ve listened to all of these books, plus all of the spin-offs. You’re telling me that Ledger and the crew are rocking cloth masks to prevent the spread of COVID while they’re running and gunning around the world? The comment about people not wearing masks, or rather complaining about people who don’t want to wear them (for any reason), seems way way outside the realm of something the character would care that much about. Sounds more like the author projecting his personal feelings onto the character and it was unnecessary in my opinion. Come on Mayberry, you’re better than that.

Best of the best!

Absolutely love this series and have yet to find anybody who writes as well as Mayberry.

Ray Porter, as usual, defines perfection in his execution of this story.

Couldn't stop listening- great book

Maberry's writing is utterly fantastic as usual. The character and plot development is so rich it transported me into the story in vivid detail. I appreciated the additional development of Belle and Andre while still getting plenty of Ghost, Bunny and Top. Typical of this author, his research shines through as he describes the regions in which the story takes place down to local cuisine. I've listened to every Joe Ledger book multiple times and this one will be a re-listen too. As always, Ray Porter is a flawless narrator.

Amazing novel!:

Cave-13: A Joe Ledger and Rogue Team International Novel by Jonathan Maberry (Narrated by (Ray Porter)

Book Review (Reactionary).

REACTIONARY REVIEW: GRADE A PLUS.

First let me say that the narration of this novel was spectacular! Porter was amazing!!!! His ability to give each character, a different voice, and a persona was phenomenal!

Porter has the ability to make Maberry’s writing soar and dance off the page with such vivid imagery! If there was an Oscar for best narration of an audible book Ray Porter would be the clear winner!

With that stated, OMG! Hell yes, Joe Ledger and RTI are back! Cave-13 was definitely well worth the wait.

Maberry is a master at telling amazing stories and developing action packed details. Maberry also has the ability to craft and weave exceptional characters that grabs THE READER’S attention and never lets it go! So buckle up! Strap in and enjoy the ride!

I am absolutely stunned and floored that such genuine creativity and pure talent resides solely in one author’s imagination! Where does he come up with such rich and intoxicating narratives??

In this novel, Maberry introduced several amazing new characters, who in my opinion were just as amazing as the originals. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

The ending of the novel was a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see where Maberry takes RTI next.

The RTI book I've been waiting for

This one is definitely a more traditional Ledger novel compared to the other 2 RTI entries. The charm, suspense, and comedy was definitely there. Joe is definitely back to his smart a** self. The story itself was compelling and suspenseful. Ray Porter deserves the highest of praise. This novel especially demonstrates his outstanding talent the left me in awe.

I hope Joe Ledger never hangs up his six shooters.

Just when you think it's going to get quiet for poor Joe Ledger. I think the coming of Nicodemus is just around the corner. I would really like to know what makes Church, Lilith, and Violin so special??? Oh, and for the person who titled their review, Sandman and Sisterhood. Get a clue before you start throwing "woke" around. I get it. You heard it on Fox News, and now it's your turn to use it..

It’s good.

It’s good. It’s Ledger, plain and simple. Oh, and Toys, too.
I’d recommend this book.

Joe Ledger series are a great listen.

I love these series of books and have listened to all of them , but the author is inconsistent in his writing and bridging his stories. Yes, the Ledger series is on point, but adding JL to other series is off and inconsistent. The zombie series JM put together has Joe Ledger apart of that story when he was with the DMS, but now Church has created RTI. Is this the same universe or different. To the author, make it make sense..
