Publisher's summary

I am finally over my crush on Duke—completely done. He's always been like a big brother to me…a big brother with abs of steel, a heart of gold, and those dimples that make my heart rate double whenever he smiles.

But as far as Duke's concerned, I’ll always be his best friend Chris’s little sister—the little girl who dunked his Darth Vader action figure in Elmer's glue and glitter.

Even if Duke noticed me, it wouldn’t matter. I’m so off limits I may as well be wearing an outfit made entirely of caution tape. We both know Chris would enlist a special-ops tactical team to hunt him down if he ever pursued anything beyond friendship with me.

Good thing I’m over Duke. One hundred percent attraction-free, that’s me. Well, mostly…until I accidentally send him one of my usual scrambled texts (thank you, autocorrect)…and he thinks I’m hitting on him.

I’m mortified enough to momentarily consider relocating someplace obscure like Greenland. I can never show my face around town again. I’ll buy a parka and an ice pick and learn to love fish...a lot.

But then Duke answers my text… Am I dreaming? He’s not mad. He’s not even making fun of me.

In fact, it seems like he might be flirting back.

I guess I might not be completely over this crush after all.

Just don’t tell my brother.

Caring and Protective Nature of the MMC

The first book I read by Patty was Town Shipped and absolutely LOVED it and this town has my heart and I loved reading with familiar favorites and finding new favorites.

Duke has the classic casually cool suave vibe! I mean I wish I had confidence like Duke. And he has a motorcycle! As is often found there is more than meets the eye and I loved what a genuine heartthrob he was. Such a sweet guy that tried his best to move past his affection for his best friends little sister, but there was no way that was happening. He loves working at his fathers garage, but to be in charge someday isn’t his first choice and I loved seeing how things played out.

Shannon has quite the protective older brother and he gets in the way sometimes, but when you’ve delt with what their family has gone through it’s completely understandable. Dancing is her passion, but she hid it in the closet for a while and hopefully she will finally take a chance and do what she loves.

You will love:
🧢 the way they open up to each other
🧢 their nicknames
🧢 Dukes baseball team he coaches!
🧢 Senior Zumba (he takes over her class for her when she is sick!)
🧢 his diligent presence that becomes more than just protection
🧢 the times they spend alone: the car show, fair, and hot air balloon
🧢 the texting mishaps! Dang auto correct
🧢 Him slipping in the mud 🫠
🧢 her surprising him at his home to “party plan”
🧢 his gift to her

Ah…So much, but I’ve already said too much! Just know that you are in for a ride! You will shed a tear and laugh out loud. Loved their chemistry and banter. Loved the friendships and the town! Just love everything Bordeaux!!! Thank you Savannah Scott for another wonderful read!!

Shipped

I have really enjoyed the “Shipped” series. Censorshipped took too long to get there, but I loved Duke and Shannon. The HEA was delightful! McFadden and Damron did their usual outstanding narration.
