Publisher's summary

Half of America hates me, and the other half wants me dead. Regardless, I've decided to turn a new leaf.

Good guy Writer Gideon? Something like that. But with great power comes great responsibility, and with great power and killer women all around me....

Well, I don't really know a quote for that one. Point is: the Cherry Blossom Girls are changing things up. We're dressed to kill, pumped and primed, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

And sure, Mother and Angel are up to no good again, and there's the fact that the American media has painted me as a terrorist, but that's the least of our concerns.

Let me be the first to introduce you to a terrible man named Smiley....

Contains mature themes.

A change not necessarily for the better

it is sadly not the soundbooths group, I will say he was not to bad doing the male cast but could not do the CBG's justice. I am sad that girls will no longer sound like we are use to. Maybe it will become time to simply read the stories.

Loved the book

Great story as always. My only complaint is that the narrator isn’t the same person who narrated the last 4 books

Narrator Put in a Bad Situation

I would like to start by saying that P. J. Ochlan did a good job narrating Cherry Blossom Girls 5; unfortunately the previous four books where narrated by a cast of four from Sound Booth Theater. Therefore, P. J. Ochlan has two rather large issues to overcome. First, listeners have grown to love the voice actors associated with the characters from the first four books and second, he is competing against four excellent voice actors in a story with a large cast. Again, he does a good job and if he had voiced the entire series from the beginning; there would probably not be such an uproar.

That aside, Harmon Cooper does a great job of continuing the development of each character, the story, and their relationships. Not surprising the Cherry Blossom Girls find themselves in an ever more complicated situation as they continue to face off against Mother, the public, and a new enemy of super powered individuals.

I believe it is worth listening to, but like many other listeners and fans I hope Harmon Cooper will look to re-recording this book and his following books with Sound Booth Theater. Thank you for your time and I hope this review is helpful.

Well I like the series..

Wished it was the same narrator. Confused about the change. Still good though. Great work

Not as bad as the reviews would make you think.

P.J. didn't do as bad as some reviews say he does. That being said I do prefer the Soundbooth Theater crew. Looking forward to the next book!

The narration just isn’t up to par...

All due respect to P. J. Ochlan... I was enthralled by this series and the wonderful performances by the previous narrators, but listening to this book is like nails on a chalk book after the sweet melodies of its predecessors.

Series took a heavy blow from the new narrator

Soundbooth really made the characters feel alive using a cast of talented voices, the new guy felt like he was just trying to get his 50$ and call it a day. I'm gonna have to try to get used to this.

Change up

I love this series and P.J. I Ochlan is a great narrator but not the one I was expecting. Changing up the regular guy, who ever that might be, is always a jarring experience and it took a couple of chapters to identify with the characters again.
Otherwise keep the books coming.

Great story horrible narration

I dont know if it was just the fact that you went from a team of the best narrators in the business to a mediocre guy. No thanks. I might have gone along with it if I had never heard the soundbooth theater production cause I can admit I might be biased, but this new guy just sounds monotone when he is narrating and his character voices arent the best. Still not the worst narrator I've heard, but I'll be returning this one and not buying anymore until soundbooth are back....
