still a good book

some of the narrators were too monotone but the stories were inspiring, some sad, some funny.

Good book, but kindle icon buy price is misleading

Would you try another book from the authors and/or Joyce Bean and Buck Schimer ?

Yes

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Well it all pretty much the same. Story's of the challenges of dealing with the issue of staying in shape. It is interesting in the beginning, but it really couldn't hold my attention.

Have you listened to any of Joyce Bean and Buck Schimer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Any additional comments?

Audion purchasers should be aware that the buy icon on the kindle is not the actual price charged and could result in an over draft if not careful. I have contacted customer service on this issue and they were unresponsive. I am less likely to order an audio book from the Kindle store unless the issue is resolved.

A great walking companion :)

I purchased this book to help motivate me back into a fitness/ weight loss regime. It was so good to have all these peoples stories keeping me company as I aimed to do the same thing they were talking about.
Lots of variety in the stories and I never got bored listening. I only listened while I was walking, I saved it for that purpose only. 5.5 kgs down by the end of the book and starting to jog :))

nice to listen to on your wellness journey

What made the experience of listening to Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping the New You the most enjoyable?

There were some very nice stories that brought up good points about the importance of taking care of ourselves. It was a positive and motivating book. I recommend it for people who are on a journey towards improved health and could use a little extra support.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Shaping the New You?

Majority of the stories talk about eating better and exercising for improved health and quality of life versus just fitting into a smaller pants size. Also, it didn't push for people to engage in any one particular diet or exercise. Everyone had a different story or experience that worked for him or her. I was able to take pieces from the stories and apply them to my life.

What does Joyce Bean and Buck Schimer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

While I listened to them, it was listening to a friend tell me their own personal story over a cup of coffee.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Their was one part that literally moved me. One of the stories talked about a woman who made the decision to start swimming laps in the pool. Something about her story really clicked for me and I have now started trying to do the same.

Meh

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I think this was geared more towards a senior audience.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

One of the narrators had a smokers voice which was weird because it was about wellness.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

bored

Any additional comments?

It was more like older people walking more and doing work out tapes. Not really motivating for a younger listener.
