About this listen

In need of work and a change of scenery, Aussie expat Jayden Turner agrees to a short-term chef position at a bed-and-breakfast over the Christmas holidays. After all, how hard could it be in a small town in the mountains of Montana? What he finds is a grand old house in a beautiful town, and his new boss is gorgeous, gay, and single.

After his divorce, Carter “Cass” Campion bought his great-aunt’s run-down country manor in his hometown, and he’s determined to get it ready for the busy holiday period. Recently out as gay, he’s been focused solely on his business and hasn’t had time for a man. Not that many gay men come through Hartbridge....

As his new clients arrive, and being away from his two kids, celebrating Christmas is the last thing on Cass’ mind. But his new chef has other ideas. And if there’s one thing on his Christmas wishlist this year, Jayden can make it come true.

enjoyed it - solid 4 stars

📖 A cute and entertaining story with an easy pace and low drama. The characters are likeable and their story was entertaining. I enjoyed watching Jayden show Cass what stability can be like and Jayden helping Cass break from his self-induced isolation.

🎧 Glen Lloyd's narration keeps getting better. I had no problem distinguishing characters, his rhythm, tone and inflections have done a good job bringing Christmas Wish List to life. I can't comment on the authenticity of his American accent, but I had no problem with it - it sounded genuine and worked for me.

Lovely second Christmas in Hartbridge.

I had already read and listened to the first in this series and when I was re-listening this year I discovered there were two more available on audible. Superb. Now I’m waiting for the fourth to make it to audio. Meanwhile, I couldn’t wait, so I read it too.

Love it!

Very cute Christmas story will all the feels of the season. I just really want to stay at Cass’ B&B! It sounds so quaint. It’s a very fast romance but in this Christmas world it is a cozy love story.

The narration is so good! I love that Australian accent. 💙

lovely christmas story

I loved this story and also the narration. The only reason I gave the narration 3 stars is because Glen Lloyd has an irritating, caricaturesque voice for women, especially when the author has described them as "older". Then he basically changes his voice to that from the witch in Hansl and Gretl. Glen, I don't know if you listen to women's voices sometimes, but they sound pretty much the same from 30 to 70, provided there's no Parkinson's disease.
