The world of Erafore is one full of magic and mystery. Heroes battle dragons, mages confront demons, and the gods watch over it all. Yet among these incredible beings, a single creature is born with the power to rewrite the destiny of the land. Taken in as a pet by the princess of the Kingdom of Varia, a mere Ooze will rise to stand in the tide of fate and defend the ones he loves from an encroaching void. But can a monster ever truly become a man?

Very basic story
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
the bullet points for the plot could be interesting however the execution is... ham fisted
edit: the entire church and fair scenes should have never made it to publish. let alone narration. it's an exposition dump the things the main character should know at this point. additionally it's things that the characters around him should have been acting with the knowledge of. apparently literally no one in the castle is devout enough to ever even spoken the names of their deities. or talked of their currency. and the way that works is pretty bad too.
this was a three-star review until these scenes. it might be two star again by the end of the book
a good book for young children
