About this listen
President Ezra Taft Benson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has told its youth at the time of his Presidency that it is the Final Hour before the coming of Jesus Christ, that this would be the final generation who would see Jesus Christ. So I thought I'd do a chronology of the events and restorations of each of the Latter-Day Prophets. The Millennial Prophet is the one who is prophesied to make the rest of the restorations, but most of the Prophets have helped to contribute to this full restitution. One will notice President Hinckley has contributed the third most, since Brigham Young and of course Joseph Smith, the founding Prophet.

Story
Parley P. Pratt began to work on The Key to the Science of Theology in San Francisco in August 1851, just before leaving for his mission to Chile. He continued writing it while in Chile. He finished the manuscript upon his return to Utah in 1853. The manuscript remained unpublished, however, until 1855 when Parley found a publisher in England. Parley's book represented a lifetime of thought and built on ideas first propounded in Pratt's earlier writings, especially missionary tracts stemming from his years in England. The impact of The Key to the Science of Theology was unparalleled. One Latter-day Saint diarist of the 19th century observed: "We had every encouragement to read the Church publications: The Voice of Warning; the Pearl of Great Price; and Key to Theology."

Story
Have you noticed that President Russell M. Nelson keeps reminding us that the modern temple endowment has “ancient” roots? If you do not know what this means—if you do not have a solid understanding of what was done in the temples of ancient Israel—then you are missing many of the most basic and important aspects of your temple experience. Unfortunately, it is very common for someone to enter the temple for the first time with little to no understanding of what to expect.

Story
Founder of the largest indigenous Christian church in American history, Joseph Smith published the 584-page Book of Mormon when he was 23 and went on to organize a church, found cities, and attract thousands of followers before his violent death at age 38. Richard Bushman, an esteemed cultural historian and a practicing Mormon, moves beyond the popular stereotype of Smith as a colorful fraud to explore his personality, his relationships with others, and how he received revelations.

Story
Have you ever wondered why we Christians do what we do for church every Sunday morning? Why do we "dress up" for church? Why does the pastor preach a sermon each week? Why do we have pews, steeples, choirs, and seminaries? This volume reveals the startling truth: most of what Christians do in present-day churches is not rooted in the New Testament, but in pagan culture and rituals developed long after the death of the apostles.

In Father Michael McGivney (1852-1890), born and raised in a Connecticut factory town, the modern era's ideal of the priesthood hit its zenith. The son of Irish immigrants, he was a man to whom "family values" represented more than mere rhetoric. And he left a legacy of hope still celebrated around the world.

An in-depth look into the creation of the post-WWII Healing Revival focusing on the historical perspective of William Marrion Branham, who has been credited by some as the evangelist who both initiated and led the movement. Story
In 1830, a young seer and sometime treasure hunter named Joseph Smith began organizing adherents into a new religious community that would come to be called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (and known informally as the Mormons). One of the nascent faith’s early initiates was a twenty-three-year-old Ohio farmer named Parley Pratt, the distant grandfather of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. In The Mormon People, religious historian Matthew Bowman peels back the curtain on more than 180 years of Mormon history and doctrine.

A stunning and sure to be controversial book that pieces together, through more than two dozen 19th-century diaries, letters, albums, minute books, and quilts left by first-generation Latter-day Saints, or Mormons, the never before told story of the earliest days of the women of Mormon "plural marriage", whose right to vote in the state of Utah was given to them by a Mormon-dominated legislature as an outgrowth of polygamy in 1870, 50 years ahead of the vote nationally ratified by Congress.

Story
So, you’ve probably heard that the Bible is “the white man’s religion”. Well, that’s not exactly true. It’s a blatantly false statement that has been embraced by uninformed people of all colors for far too long. The Bible is, in fact, an Afrocentric book and belief system, and I dare you to prove me wrong.

Story
Almost every pastor feels the pressure to get people in the doors. Often, in their zeal for fruit and growth, pastors and church leaders adopt worldly mechanisms for church growth that end up undermining the very call God has given them. Charles Spurgeon, the Prince of Preachers, was a pastor to well over 5,000 people in a day long before "mega-churches" were the norm. In Spurgeon the Pastor, Geoff Chang shows how Spurgeon models a theological vision of ministry in preaching, baptism and the Lord's supper, meaningful church membership, biblical church leadership, and more.

DO NOT Waste your money.
It was horrible. The reader sounds like a robot. The summary has nothing to do with the book. And there is no story. It is just someone reading the milestones of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The talks by Pres. Benson quoted in the summary don't even contain the information claimed.

Terrible voice and reading. He didn’t pronounce many things right and was extremely monotone. It sounded like a computer.
The performance was so terrible, the pronunciation incorrect and poor voice inflection that I didn’t even consider the content. I couldn’t listen to more than 15 seconds before turning it off. I would never recommend this to anyone.

Christ is coming back
According to the LDS church, Christ is getting ready to make his big comeback. Like end of times kind of stuff, and that is interesting. What they do here is list the various prophets and the events that occured in their lifetimes in relation to this event occuring. That is all. There is no talk of when, how, or why. It has no relevant information on the future. Clinger narrates steadfastly and suredly as usual. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.
