this book I think is absolutely perfect for setting up the eventual conclusion to Gotrek and Felix. The narration is spot on, the story is gripping, and it feels like there's real stakes all throughout the book. Definitely pick this one up!

Overall I enjoyed the story, The story takes awhile to come together and the confusion on the readers part is supposed to happen.

The opening and first half of the book is great. I got a little spun around towards the end with how familiar everything became. Also Gotrek misidentifying a beast was a head scratcher but he does have one eye. Keeble is incredible !

A blur of a city

I was honestly hoping Gotrek & Felix would do more than just venture out to interact with mutants, and Chaos faction associated groups. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was hoping undead, more skaven maybe, and Sisters of Sigmar would make an appearance.

instead, it kinda went into this boring route with mutants, and Gotrek & Felix were temporarily separated for too long, imo, in the story. wish they stood by together much sooner, but for the sake of story telling, it makes sense for this to occur.

If you’re a fan of Belakor or mordheim this book is a must read. If you’re a Gotrek and Felix fan this is still a must read

A close friend of mine was listening to this book when he got in a car wreck where his airbags didn't deploy, no one got hurt and he walked away unscathed, Gotrek's luck (or unluck in Gotrek's case) seems to have rubbed off on him.

Great book too btw!

Rather round about and rambling. No continuing story. And I miss Kat and her many arrows.

Ulrika the Vampire came out but only in German. I really hate to be that guy but English please.

These are by far, my favorite Warhammer fantasy stories but ever since 12 and they started using different authors. It’s not as consistent still great but there’s a few other questions books one through 12 absolute masterpieces everything else then it’s like 75% still love the story. Still love the characters. Just wish they tied into the first 12 a little bit more road of skulls oh my god worst in the series it’s still good though.

Kinslayer was good, but follow the damn storyline. You can't just write a Gotrek and Felix with no clarification as where exactly we are in the storyline and expect it to be good

David Guymer is good but...

I feel like the author didn't read any of the previous books. You see this more often in comic books, but warhammer is just as guilty of it. Felt like after all the main characters had done and seen in previous books, a crappy mercenary captain shouldn't be a significant threat.
