Thrilling, exciting so loved this story.

Another thrilling story that kept me up late at night, I really liked how the story is laid out, nobody knows how to to make your heart beat faster than this author. She always gives you a page turner with lots of twists and turns, that you don't see coming. It has just the right amount of romance and suspense. As Charlotte and Payne team up and go at it head to head they make steam flow in more than on way. I enjoyed watching them go at it as they follow they mystery and butt heads time and time again. It was a very exciting listen that at times bought chills to my skin as they worked out the issues.

I just love Eric G. Dove as a narrator he pulls you in with a very strong and powerful voice. His character voices are wonderful from his male to his female. He gives wonderful emotions you always know what each character is feeling. There are no background noises, no volume changes or any breaks just a clean clear and power listen. His tones are outstanding you can feel the passion, excitement as he holds you on the edge waiting to see what happens next. His normal voice is just as pleasant as his character ones. This is one of the few narrators that when you see his name you know you are in for a highly entertaining listen that will hold you spellbound through the excitement and thrills. He knows how to bring the story to life getting your attention and keeping it.

Love these FBI romantic suspense stories!!

I usually download and read/listen to these books as soon as they’re released. Author Toni Anderson never disappoints and Eric G. Dove is the perfect narrator for the series. In this book, the body of a young woman is discovered in the woods and the son of a doomsday-prepper is the suspect. Enter the FBI HRT leader, Payne Novak, and Negotiator, Charlotte Blood...this pair has great chemistry but butt heads on how to handle the standoff at the prepper’s compound. One thing is guaranteed...lots of action and some steamy moments. You must give this book a try if you’re interested in the romantic suspense genre.

The Whole Enchilada

This book had it all- mystery, action, romance, plot twist. I could have done without the detailed sex scenes. They are particularly hard to stomach in audio form. I wish authors would offer clean versions of the same stories. Something for this genre to consider.

More tame than other Cold Justice novels

Toni Anderson is very talented in her writing style and creating connections with characters. While this story didn't captivate me like some of the others in the Cold Justice series, it was still a good listen. The character development was a little lacking on the back stories of where their insecurities lay but it didn't detract. I would have liked a little less uncertainty and dramatic internal monologues of insecurities.
Eric G. Dove is an awesome narrator and never disappoints.

Toni gives us another winner!

Toni Anderson's "Cold Justice" series is one of the best-written FBI series you will find on the market. Teamed up with the narration of Eric G. Dove and there is NO WRONG done to these books. I have found myself enjoying these men and women from beginning to end! Each book is well-written and gives just the right amount of sex and intrigue to hold your interest from start to finish. This one offered one very good twist that totally took me by surprise. Wow, just wow! That was one I didn't see coming. If you wonder what it is, just take a listen. Well worth the credit!!

Great romance worth the listen

Toni Andersson’s stories consistently deliver on romantic suspense. This one wasn’t the edge of my seat but was satisfying. Charlotte Blood is a favorite character. Strong, knows her self worth and doesn’t play the damsel in distress card. Novak is more realistic than I see in many stories. He exhibits a strong need to protect Charlotte but realizes she is more than capable and doesn’t interfere. He also is hesitant and uncertain in the relationship and it plays out well in the story.
The narration is spot on, smooth transitions between scenes and POV that doesn’t leave you guessing and rewinding.

Enemies to lovers trope

The third installment of the Crossfire series came across a bit lukewarm, but still more engaging than the first one. I liked the POV of the 'bad guys' as it gave an insight to a situation not as black and white as it seemed. However, there was a teenage character who was severely annoying - I had to fast forward through all his whining and self-pity.
