About this listen

Liberty is 18 and ready to tackle the world. And she knows she doesn't want to do it under the thumb of her father and his suffocating religion. But what she doesn't know is that there is a battle underway - a battle over her soul - and someone or something is calling her to the tiny town of Commack, Maine, where big things await.

Neither Angels nor Demons Can Separate Us from God

Wow! Just, wow! This is a book that every young person needs to hear . . . in our upside down everything is relative world . . . including what gender a person "identifies" as . . . this story clearly separates the wheat from the chaff . . . truth from lies . . . and religion from an honest relationship with Jesus Christ . . . my heart was so saddened by the abuse and pain that Liberty endured at home by her father, a man who professed faith in the Lord, but who had his own demons . . . and her broken relationship with her mom, also abused, and unable to communicate the real Jesus to her daughter . . . but God NEVER leaves us or forsakes us . . . he sends his angels to minister to us . . . his children to help us . . . this is an amazing author, who will reach many for Christ . . . this is a biblical book, and many Christians probably won't "get" it . . . but His word is clear . . . there are demons and unclean spirits at work around us . . . and you only have to look around in our society to see the destruction that Satan and his legion have brought upon us . . . His word is also clear that there is power in the NAME of Jesus . . . excellent story and conclusion . . . I look forward to listening to more and more from this author . . .

Commack

A very interesting listen. This book is broken up into 3 distinct stories that are all related. They deal with the struggles or demons that are faced by some young women... a battle of good vs evil as decisions are made.

Robin Merrill has written a very thought provoking story. It’s not something I’ll soon forget.

Another well-written story from a very good author

Commack (The Witches of Commack, Maine), my twenty-third read from author Robin Merrill who I’ve been reading since January of 2019 when I first read Piercehaven: Welcome to the Island and she never fails to entertain with her excellent writing. This book has a Frank E. Perettish feel early on as you wait for the other shoe to drop throughout the tale. The story and characters are slowly & methodically developed, drawing the reader in. Narrator Rebecca Winder adds to the listening enjoyment. I was given both an Audible copy & Kindle copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Spiritual warfare on earth

This story by Robin Merrill is so far out of my comfort zone that I'm still trying to process it. It depicts spiritual warfare fought on an earthly battlefield. Though I would not normally choose a book that deals with witchcraft, spells, demons, etc; I found that I just couldn't stop in the middle of this book. I had to keep going to the end.

I listened to this book on Audible and enjoyed the narration by Rebecca Winder.
