Yoga, with its origin dating back to ancient India, has always been considered a pathway of achieving moksha. This edition combines the four paths of yoga as expounded by Swami Vivekananda in the nineteenth century. They include the three yogas mentioned in the Bhagat gita—karma yoga, bhakti yoga, and jnāna yoga—and Raja yoga, which is based on Maharshi Patanjali’s yoga sutras, and together they speak to the active, the emotional, the mystic, and the philosophical inside us. Complete with timeless universal wisdom, and not restricted to as an as and physical exercises, The yogic practices explained by Vivekananda become a way of life and hence lead to the realisation of the absolute.

great examples were used that really make the subjects clear. I especially loved the sections on Maya!

This book was an amazing listen. Given that it was based largely on speeches given in the late 1800s, it could have been written based on today’s science.

Detailed info presented in an easy to understand format

The material and information are unsurpassed. These are no doubt enlightened teachings and are very much relevant in this very day. It’s unfortunate the narration is done in a manner that puts one to sleep. There are unnecessary pauses after every three to five words that breaks the train of thought and fails in putting full concepts together easily. Who reads like this? Zzzzz

I had to stop halfway because the narration was so drab I could barely consume the true meaning behind the beautiful writing.

What was I thinking when I purchased this book ? I should have known another very strict book concerning how one should live their existence . Do the best you can and just be a good human. Be prepared for trials and tribulations such is our condition . Way, way to much rules, guidelines and expectations to just be human . I had stop listening to much requirements.

Hated the narration. Could not have been more difficult to listen to.

Loved the message but really needs to be re-done. 28 hrs could be 24 or less with appropriate dictation.

Horrible reading pace…2-3 words…pause…continue
