Publisher's summary

My name is Skylar Quinn. I just moved to New York with my best friend Bridget, and I have a confession. Well, more than one. Okay, quite a few really. Fine, here goes!

Confession number one: I'm a sex columnist. Hold on, that's not really the confession. You see, I'm sort of a virgin...sex columnist.

Confession number two: I'm kind of in love with Bridget's older brother, Oliver. No, I was. No, I am. Wait, was? Am? Crap.

Confession number three: I've been avoiding Oliver for four years. Or I was until today, because he just moved in. Yes, you read that correctly. He's my new roommate. So that night we've both been pretending never happened, well, we might not be able to keep it a secret any longer.

And trust me, this is only the beginning.

Cute story

Very cute story. Enjoyed Oliver! The narration was excellent and kept me interested even though it was a fairly long listen for me!

Silly, YA Story

I received this audiobook free, as an Audiobook Obsession Reviewer, for an honest review. First, this was a very LONG book. I thought it was a very silly story. That doesn't mean that someone younger reading/listening to it would agree. It was hard getting through, because it was so long and because it was so silly. I understand that this is a "Complete Duet" and maybe I should have listened to it in sections to give me a break. There were parts where I laughed at Sky's antics but most of the time, I was just embarassed for her. Again, a younger person would probably enjoy it. The narrator did a good job being silly with the characters.

Confession....

This is a super cute story. I’d rate it a PG13, for those that are looking for a sweet romance story. Definitely had me laughing! I didn’t give it 5 stars just because it was a bit drawn out at times. But the content was all good:)
Annie Abate, did a good job with the main character narrative but was a bit over dramatic with a couple of other characters:)

Enjoyable... mostly

Hmm... I have found this book very hard to review. There were so many things I really did enjoy about this book. And there were a lot of things that I hated. There were even a few times that I almost put the book down and gave up, but I'm not a quitter, and not finishing it would have bothered me. But I am glad that I finished it. It wasn't a bad book. Just a little drawn out. Maybe It should have been 1 book instead of two. Sky was just a little on the annoying and naive side. And I know there are a lot of naive women out there, but Sky definitely takes the cake. But I did really like her best friend. She was kinda awesome. The narration was pretty good. I mean Annie does terrible guy voices but they were so bad that they were good. Weird, I know. But when it came to the girl's voices, she was AMAZING. Sky, Bridget, the girls Sky worked with, all those were perfect! As I said, I had a really hard time reviewing this one because I'm so back and forth on it. But overall, I was mostly happy I listened to this and would definitely love to listen and review for them again!

A Must Read

I listened to this book as an audio obsession group reviewer and WOW. First and foremost the narration of this audiobook makes the book. I literally was laughing, pacing and smiling like a goof all because the expressions used while narrating. The overall story is a great friendship romance. I love the hidden love lessons throughout the book and the overall storyline. There's drama, wit and overall internal struggle and I love the outline as it's like reading or listening to someone confess their inner most thoughts. I generally prefer duel perspective but this book doesn't need it. I would've loved an epilogue 5 years or so into the future but beggers can not be choosers. #dowtimereading

Laugh out loud story

This duet is fun, sassy, laugh out loud hilarious. Skye always had a crush on Ollie, her best friends brother. Her awkward insecurities, regarding dating shine through. She always relies on her besty, Bridget, to help her pick up the pieces. But until one day, her secrets, lies, insecurities and confusion could cost her best friend and the love of her life. This story has so many laugh out loud and tender moments that brought tears.
I listened to the Audible version, This story was exciting and wonderful to listen. Annie Abate is a wonderful narrator and portraying all the emotions, love, angst, sarcasm, and feelings of despair to each and every Character. It was perfect, I really enjoyed listening to this story.

Great in Small Doses

Title: Confessions: The Complete Duet
Author: Kay Marie
Format: Audio
Narrator: Annie Abate
Genre: Romantic Comedy, Best friend's brother
Standalone: This is the complete duet
Part of a Series: Both books of the Confessions duet
POV: Sky
Steam Level: Slow burn to steamy but not explicit
4/5

Overall this was a fun duet. However, I could only take Sky and her neurosis a little bit at a time. The "confession" format of the book was fun. I was engaged enough to finish the story but only in little doses at a time. If you like drama then you'll like this book but if drama drives you nuts then stay away.

Confessions

I found this story cute overall. There was some funny parts and some mind numbing over dramatic parts. Skyler and Oliver were cute to get to know.

Cute and fun duet

This is a cute love story with some drama along the way that can be a tad drawn out but it fit the characters so I was good with it. The confession aspect of the story kept it entertaining and wanting to find out what the next confession would be. Sky could be a bit neurotic at times but again it fit her character. I really loved Patrick and Oliver - give me more of them.
The narration is fantastic and I'm looking forward to more stories narrated by Annie.
