About this listen
A primer on the Family Constellations philosophy and its core principles that will inspire and empower listeners to take ownership of their lives.
Family Constellations begins with the premise: It did not start with me. Many of us become "entangled" with the unhappiness of those who came before us, unconsciously adopting destructive familial patterns of anxiety, depression, failure, and even illness and addiction in an attempt to "redo" the past and "fix" our families.
Affirmations and exercises punctuate every chapter, created to help the listener actively engage with and experience the benefits of Family Constellations.
Listeners will also learn how to:
- Recognize family system patterns and disrupt them
- Heal the inner child and parent the adult self
- Release limiting beliefs and behaviors
- Dissolve trauma bonds that entangle them with the past
- Reconcile the past and the present, for a whole and integrated self
- Arrive at a place of personal peace within the family system
- Craft future-facing narratives that empower them to live authentically

In this revolutionary book, renowned physician Gabor Maté eloquently dissects how in Western countries that pride themselves on their healthcare systems, chronic illness and general ill health are on the rise. Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug; more than half take two. In Canada, every fifth person has high blood pressure. In Europe, hypertension is diagnosed in more than 30 percent of the population. And everywhere, adolescent mental illness is on the rise. So what is really “normal” when it comes to health?

Why do women keep themselves small and quiet? Why do they hold back professionally and personally? What fuels the uncertainty and lack of confidence so many women often feel? In this paradigm-shifting book, leading feminist thinker Bethany Webster identifies the source of women’s trauma. She calls it the Mother Wound - the systemic disenfranchisement of women by the patriarchy - and reveals how this cycle is perpetuated by wounded mothers who unconsciously pass on damaging beliefs and behaviors to their daughters.

Story
None of us had a perfect childhood; we are all carrying around behaviors that don’t serve us—and may in fact be hurting us. But it doesn’t have to be that way, says licensed marriage and family therapist Vienna Pharaon. Our past might create our patterns, but we can change those patterns for the better...with the right tools. In The Origins of You, Pharaon has unlocked a healing process to help us understand our Family of Origin—the family and framework we grew up within—and examine what worked (and didn’t) in that system.

What does it really mean to be a man? What are some of the landmarks along the road to mature masculinity? And what of the feminine components of a man's personality? Women have developed, over the centuries, considerable expertise in the technique of adapting to men, and for good reason, but that is not the same as truly understanding them. The transition from male childhood to real manhood is a complicated struggle, and explored in this book. As timely today as when it was first published, He provides a fascinating look into male identity and how female dynamics influence men.

For agnostics who want to understand how it work
I have participated in many family Constellations since 2008 and there are not that many books that treat this subject in depth. This one explains perfectly the dynamics and consequences we bear subconsciously towards our parents family members and partners. I would recommend that book to anyone who starts and tries to understand how family constellations work.The.author gives many examples of problems and solutions found. Acceptance and gratitude are the keys but to understand that you need to read that book.

Very explicit. But the accent is awful. Being French speaking English is one thing and breaking the English language is another. Some sentences were completely off. It ruined it for me :(

POWERFUL!!!
This book opened so many doors for me, it answered questions that plagued me regarding my troubled family bloodline on both sides. Issues, problems, traumas can be handed down, impacting your current life without your knowledge. Marine gives you confidence that this can be healed so we can live a more authentic life. It is written in such a raw and honest way, she reveals much of her own pain and life journey n how she began steering her own life. Thank you so much for writing this book.

Flipped the script on my healing
Incredible. I love that Marine narrated the book herself - you can tell how much passion she has for Family Constellations. I’ve been stuck at a point in my healing journey, without the understanding of how to move forward from the grief and the anger I felt from my own sexual assault and childhood emotional neglect. This book gave me new perspectives, new tools, and a newly found ability to zoom out. Looking forward to putting some of the exercises into practice now that I’ve finished the book itself. Thank you, Marine. You are an angel.
