Mark's evolution through the books I've read so far is enlightening & thoughtful.
The narration is a bit stilted. I would wish that it was read with some feeling. I enjoy books where I am not continually reminded of the narrator's existence.
This is still definitely worth listening to.

Sounds like it’s going to be old fashioned but really incorporates long standing horse gentling along with the authors updated insights. I really enjoyed listening to the stories and learning by example. Thank you for this book, it has greatly enhanced the relationship with my horse.

This book made me laugh and cry. It is one of my favorites of Mark’s so far. The knowledge he passes along in his books are invaluable tool in helping us understand and communicate with horses. Thank you Mark for all your books and especially this one!

Wonderful Book on Horsemanship

Really enjoyed listening to this during my mail route. The author is a great teller and I felt that the information shared offered practical insights to various training challenges. His methods are likely to be most received by people who are more naturally empaths rather than as opposed to black and white thinkers. It is not delivered in a "this is the only good or effective way to go about it" but rather what he has learned from experience alone. Good book.

I learned a lot listening to this book 3 times!
Story was well written in a way that that was easy to understand.
Performance of the reader was done with appropriate emotion, I could believe it was Mark Rashid himself telling the story.
Anyone who has anything to do with horses would enjoy this book!

If you love horses, training, riding and just living in general - JUST BUY THIS! Kevin Young transcends the role of narrator by morphing into skin of Mark Rashid and he KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK!! Capturing the quintessential essence of the entire story by his voice nuances, seamless character changeovers and just every word is done so perfectly you can only wonder with amazement and savor each second! BUY ALL of Mark Rashid's audiobooks and You'll NEVER regret it!!! AWESOME!!! and thank you Mark Rashid and Mike Chamberlain for a JOB WELL DONE - a WORK OF ART - a learning and inspirational tool to LAST US ALL FOREVER!!!!

I have a 40 minute drive to and from work and really enjoyed listening to Mark and his horse training knowledge. A lot of common sense and humor and I know it will help me "consider my horse" as I learn from what he has to teach me.
