Very Enjoyable & Effective-Gets Excellent Results

Any additional comments?

In order to really "converse" in Spanish, one needs to break down the fast gibberish into understandable pieces than can be practiced by the student and then pieced back together like the natives do. These are like "building blocks". You can't rush the process. There is a learning curve, and Conversational Latin American Spanish does an excellent job with this.
I tried Paul Noble and hated his approach.
I went on to the Language Guy Mark and Language Audiobooks and was pleasantly surprised by the crisp and clear voices of the native Spanish speakers, and Mark's excellent explanations in English.
The conversations are "real" and not "canned". They sound very spontaneous and include very "high frequency" vocabulary that is used every day in Spanish. I learned how to say "What do you mean?" from this program, which has deeply impressed the native Spanish speakers with whom I have spoken.
I would not change one thing about this great program and I would encourage anyone wishing to really learn to converse in real Latin American Spanish to choose this over Paul Noble, Pimsleur and all the others I have tried. This program really gets results.

Learning Spanish and Lovin it

Any additional comments?

Many thanks to Mark and the "Latin American Spanish Girls and Guys" for teaching me to speak so much Spanish in so little time.
I actually enjoy learning and speaking Spanish with this program. Mark makes it like a challenge to get the right accent, words, sentences to speak and then asks you if you get it and then you go around again.
Learning more every day and loving' it.

Fast and scattered format.

I didn't care for the format. He teaches you sentences out of sequence. Most of the time doesn't allow time to repeat.

Absolutely love

I have many Spanish learning programs I enjoy and have a list I refer to others wanting to learn Spanish. This Audio I will most definitely add to that list.
I like the way they add in as well the spoken language in its original speed, it really helps me get my ears adjusted. I would love for it to come with a workbook, maybe it does, but as of right now I've just purchased the Audible version and that doesn't have a workbook.

Real Deal Spanish Training

It's one thing to say you're goingt to teach Spanish conversation, and then it's another to really do it. Lots of programs I have used have made me guess at meanings, and then they totally lost me in the speed and foreign accents, etc ... This program by Language Audiobooks is very considerate of the learner in that it goes slowly enough at first to explain what is being said. Then it speeds up. Just the right amount of time to allow you to practice repeating after the native speakers, and then plenty of live practice back and forth with the natives asking you questions. Love it.

native pace digital

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book however on the fortunes where the speaker is speaking at Native Pace it appears as though instead of actually having a speaker say it at Native Pace they just pushed fast forward on the slow pace sample. It causes a lot of distortion and would be better served if it were really spoken by a native speaker instead of just accelerated digitally.

You should have said...

I changed my review, added a star. After giving it a little more time, it's pretty good, but the rest of my review holds. The lady narrator that chimes in pretentiously "You should have said" makes me want to rip my earbuds out. I feel like she's from some educational video game, or Dora the Explorer. Very repetitive to the point of boredom. A little corny at times, almost comical in the way Mark pronounces some English. A little editing of the encouragement phrases and this book could be half the length.

An easier way of learning vocabulary

Overall I like this audio method of learning and reviewing Spanish. It gives me a more better edge of utilizing the Spanish I've learned throughout my time in college and high school while effortlessly picking up much more vocabulary in a much quicker pace. In college I've completed two levels of intermediate Spnanish and even took Spanish composition, but I had trouble with applying my learned boring grammer skills in a spontaneous conversational fashion. This conversational Spanish audio book enables myself to learn with less effort and boredom practical conversational skills. However a visual video with this audio method would add more as well as more chapters that are jiust as practical as the current chapters to help increase and advance basic and intermediate skills.

Wonderfully Made and Brilliantly Effective

Any additional comments?

This is the most enjoyable and effective Spanish program I have ever used. I love it and enjoy using it every day. My fluency in Spanish, especially at a conversational level, is exploding and my ear is being trained to understand real conversational Spanish. I also like the very usable and practical subjects and practice. The voices are great. And it’s great having the translation right there every time so I don’t have to guess ever.

Real Spanish for Real Spanish Speaking Situations

What did you love best about Conversational Latin American Spanish - 8 One Hour Audio Lessons (English and Spanish Edition)?

Easy to follow along. Not too fast. Not too slow.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Language Gain without Language Pain

Any additional comments?

I recently received this program from audible and have spent about six hours listening to it over the past couple of days. And I DO know why I am giving it 5 stars. I disagree with the reviewer who said that the narrator’s voice was ‘condescending.’ The narrator is not a professional orator or broadcaster. He is a language teacher and I think the narrator’s tone is simply his attempt to just try to be considerate of the learner and to make the program pleasurable to listen to.

This program has great Latin Americans native Spanish speakers, and is easy to understand and repeat after. It’s a very back and forth approach to conversation, back and forth between you and the teachers. No guessing about meanings. You are always reminded of what the Spanish words and phrases mean in English. You can focus on the new Spanish word without distracting yourself trying to remember what the English translation is.

Lots of vocabulary that is good for shopping, eating, and just getting around in a Spanish speaking country. It mixes stuff you already learned with new stuff so that you are reviewing previous things at the same time that you are moving on to something new.

I’m very happy with this audio program and I still have a couple more hours to go.
