Publisher's summary

There's been a murder at Belle's Cove Public Library. Except, it's Sunday. The library is closed!

That's never stopped the baddies in Belle's Cove before though.

This purr-ticular case is Victoria's first locked-room mystery and involves more cat hair than she ever expected.

Can she unlock the clues before the murderer strikes again?

Another Great Addition to the Series

This fourth installment of the Witchy Business Mysteries was just as entertaining as the previous three. I found the character work and story line to be well written. The narrator did a fantastic job of breathing life into the book and made this a fun listen.

Another Fun Cozy Mystery!!

It's a fun cozy paranormal mystery with a new murder for Vic and Co to solve. This time the victim is found in a locked room and one of the suspects is close to Boxy and Mr. Shiny - I mean Detective Palmer goes missing. Pretty sus, if you ask me. It was fun having people just expect Vic to help solve a murder, like "Yep, Vic's here Detective, I'll send her in."
It's a little shorter than the previous mysteries, but still just as fun. There's late night hijinks, some breaking and entering into a library after it's closed, and lots and lots of corvettes.
I'm looking forward to the next one!

The narrator does a good job with all the voices and giving each their own characterization, so it's easy enough to differentiate them all.

Fun Paranormal Cozy Mystery

While I don't read them as often as I used to, I enjoy a good paranormal cozy mystery every now and then. This is the first time I have listened to an audiobook version of one. As I like to flip back and forth as clues and red herrings are revealed, I missed that practice by listening to the audiobook version of the story. However, I really enjoyed the narrator's voicings of these US outhern characters. When she was reading anything besides dialogue, she had no accent. But when she read dialogue for any of the characters, she gave them a robust deep-south drawl. I enjoyed this mystery about the murder of a man in the library. The lead female character assists the police in figuring out who did the deed. There are many crazy characters in this book (magical and non-magical), as all good cozy mysteries should have, a finicky familiar named Studmuffin, and even a hint of romance. If you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries like I do, you may find this a fun read or listen.
