He thought he'd conned her into a marriage of convenience....

Daisy Arnsby is the ugly duckling of the large Arnsby family. Destined to be alone. When a handsome schoolmate asks her to sign a promise that she’ll wed him on her 25th birthday, she jumps at the chance. She hopes, but never dares to dream, that he’d come back.

Elias Laury fears his towering height excludes him from ever convincing Daisy to return his love, so he tricks her into waiting for him. But when he returns to collect his bride, he finds that she’s not willing to settle for a marriage of convenience.

Can the two of them learn to see each other through the eyes of love?

Sweet Clean Romance

This series has really cute romance stories... although I will say this one drove me a bit batty with all the misunderstandings and lack of good communication. It was still a lot of fun but there were a couple times I really wanted to kick them both.😉 The narrator did a great job and was fun to listen to. It's a great read for those who like the good clean Christian romance genre.

Can they give each other a chance to fall in love?

Wow, am I really at the end of the Seven Brides Of South Dakota series? I know I missed book four but it's a bit strange to be saying goodbye to the Arnsby sisters after spending so many hours listening to their stories. I keep thinking I should be starting the next book soon but...

I really think Courting In Custer was a great way to finish this historical romance series from author Kari Trumbo. It had all of the best elements of the previous books, including that fun dash of suspense, but it was still every bit Daisy's story. Well, Daisy and that lovable idiot Elias.

If there's one that stood out to me in Courting In Custer, it's how easily little things like off-hand comments overheard in childhood can scar a person and continue to damage years later as we are unable to let them go. Kinda makes you think twice about what you say, doesn't it?

This is the second book in the series with the different narrator from the 5 previous titles. While, I think she does a great job bringing Kari Trumbo's novel to life, I still think her voice is a trifle mature for the characters. Otherwise the production quality is good and the sound excellent. I'd easily recommend the entire Seven Brides Of South Dakota series for lovers of audiobooks and historical romance.

Christian Historical Romance

Well, this was the final story in the series! Sweet, shy Daisy finally marries her dream guy, but her marriage is anything BUT a dream!
I enjoyed the story but the insecurities and lack of communication gets a bit frustrating to listen to over and over!
The narrator did a great job but a few times I couldn't identify who was speaking.
