Publisher's summary

A pandemic is sweeping the world and killing people in its path. The only vaccine is stolen. Will the F.B.I find the suspect in time?

When an ancient tomb in Egypt is discovered, a deadly virus is released. The virus spreads across the globe before doctors realize their patients are suffering from the same disease. It soon becomes a pandemic called COVID, killing thousands every day. The race to find the cure is on.

Dennis Pritchard, the C.E.O. of K.T. Pharmaceuticals located in Dallas, Texas, is the first to reveal a cure. He is consumed by fame and money, which only allows for the wealthiest hospitals to buy his vaccine. His first shipment is sent out when the unthinkable happens. Someone attacked the truck driver and stole the shipment. When local authorities fail to find the missing drugs, the F.B.I. is called in.

Kenneth “Ken” Hughes is the agent chosen to take the lead on the case. Ken has been an agent for nearly eight years, and before the F.B.I., he was a United States Marine. As an agent who has been stuck at his desk for months, he is eager to get back in the field. Trying to prove himself as a capable field agent, Ken tries to solve this case alone, but every time he is close to a breakthrough, it slips out of his fingers. Feeling pressure from his boss, he quickly realizes he needs help.

Ken requests the help of Agent Justin Briar, who is a veteran agent with 20 years of service in the F.B.I. Ken and Justin’s skills are put to the test. The two men search high and low for clues. After becoming invested in their case, it becomes more than solving it to keep their jobs. They need to find the missing cure to save thousands of people dying from COVID every day. Pushing each other to be the best agents they can be, they overcome numerous obstacles and discover suspects along the way.

Will Ken and Justin be able to solve the case? Will they retrieve the stolen vaccines, or will people all across the globe continue to die? The fate of humanity is in their hands.

The suspense kept me guessing throughout!!

I thoroughly enjoyed it! The storyline captivates and is timely with the pandemic situation. With the ongoing worldwide search for a vaccine, the fact that the story is about a stolen vaccine really piqued my interest! Just when I think I have figured it out, I don't have it figured out! The end . . . didn't see that coming! Great read!
