A small town, marriage of convenience, single dad, sports romance from USA Today Bestselling Author Willow Aster

Penn Hudson. Sexy. Intense. Gorgeous.

The star running back of the Colorado Mustangs.

Well-known playboy and consummate bachelor.

We met in the Bahamas.

I knew exactly who he was.

He had no idea who I was.

Yet for a few blissful hours, it didn’t matter.

We had an unbelievable connection…

Something special that held so much promise.

Then I unexpectedly had to leave and never had a chance to say goodbye. Fast-forward to today, when I am about to see Penn again, and he’s going to find out exactly who he was kissing in the Bahamas.

I’m excited about my new job and returning to my hometown of Silver Hills.

But seeing him every day won't be easy, especially with the lingering memory of his touch and the attraction that still burns between us. When he faces an obstacle in adopting a young boy he’s mentored for years, I offer him a solution I never thought I’d make:

A fake marriage. He needs to show stability and a squeaky-clean public image, and I figure, how hard could it be to play house?

But as time goes by, nothing feels fake anymore. I’d always planned on getting married for love, but sometimes we make once-in-a-lifetime sacrifices.

I just hope I won’t be devastated in the process.

Crazy Love is book five in the standalone The Single Dad Playbook series.

I can't remember crying this much from so many heartwarming moments as I did while listening to this book. Willow Aster really nails this last chapter in her Single Dad's Playbook series - talk about all the feels! I knew Penn's story was going to be something special & it did not disappoint.

If you've read this series (this can be read as a standalone), you know Penn has mentored a young foster boy named Sam, whom he wants to adopt. When his almost one-night stand, Addy, comes back into the picture, she surprises him by proposing marriage to help with the adoption. This is a marriage of convenience, workplace/coach's daughter romance, but the real story is Penn & Addy's transition to parents. They fall in love with each other, but also their kids (yes, there is more than just Sam, but I don't want to give too much away).

There is so much swoon in this book that I nearly melted. If you are looking for a palate cleanser after reading maybe some darker, angsty romances (like I was), this is so perfect! From beginning to end, it's super sweet, funny, and these two MCs just bring out the best in one another. Of course, there is spice (medium-ish burn) & the chemistry between Penn & Addy is pure fire. But it's the way these two love their children, how they will protect them & the way the kids open up to them that just had me gutted in the best way.

If you are a fan of this series, all of the "Single Dads" and their partners show up in memorable ways. This is such a wonderful ending to this series & I can't wait to see what Willow Aster writes next.

If you love audiobooks, the dual narration by Connor Crais & Vanessa Edwin is perfect. I love this series on audio, and this last chapter is no different. These characters are brought to life - but be careful while listening in public, as you might ugly cry like I did!

This book was such an easy 5-star rating! The Single Dad Playbook series has been amazing from start to finish, and this final installment was pure perfection. Willow, hats off to you—this was everything I hoped for and more!

Penn has always been the charming playboy of the group—the one who never saw himself settling down. While his best friends are all navigating fatherhood, Penn’s been content just being the fun single guy. But from the moment he starts tutoring Sam, a boy stuck in a heartbreaking living situation, everything changes. Their bond is instant and powerful—you just know these two are meant to be a family.

Then there’s Addy. Penn meets her on the beach while he is visiting for a wedding in the Bahamas, and their connection is electric. They share a steamy moment, but she vanishes before he can even get her last name and information. Now back in Colorado, and shocker—Addy’s the new team dietician and the coach’s daughter. Cue the jaw drop! The chemistry between them is undeniable, but now it’s wrapped in complications, secrets, and a big red “off-limits” sign.

As Penn fights to adopt Sam—especially after a heartbreaking incident involving a black eye—Addy suggests they get married to show the system they’re a stable family. That marriage of convenience trope? Done so right. The angst, the tension, the slow burn—it was all sizzling.

Honestly, I don’t even know how to put into words how perfect this book was. Every moment pulled at my heartstrings and made me root for Penn & Addy.

And the narration? Chef’s kiss. Vanessa Edwin and Connor Crais were absolute perfection. Their voices brought so much emotion and depth to the story—I couldn’t imagine a better duo to wrap up this incredible series.

This series has been the best and I just don't want it to end. Crazy Love is so much more than a love story between Penn and Addy. I was adopted so these types of stories hold a special place in my heart. It is a story about family and doing everything for that family, even when it is difficult. Thank you Willow for writing such an emotional, beautiful story! I may need another box of tissues but this story was everything.

The audiobook is narrated by Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin. They both did such an amazing job of portraying all the feelings from love to frustration to undeniable chemistry and emotion.

This was a beautiful found family story. Hot ex playboy football star who has the biggest heart underneath it all. He has a chance encounter with the coach’s daughter and runs into her months later. They agree to a marriage of convenience to better his chances at adoption of his mentee. But they both end up with way more than they bargained for

This was low angst and so freaking cute. That epilogue had me in tears. Love this!

This series has been absolutely everything. These dads are just incredible and the women that stumble into their chaotic lives are amazing; I love them all so much. Addie and Penn were so dang perfect for each other and I loved Sam and Winnie to pieces, together they were all so wonderful and I adored watching them find their happy ever after.

So many moments in this book tugged at my heart strings. Poor Sam and Winnie were in such a horrible situation and the way Addie and Penn came together to give them a happier life was so sweet. Sam was such a selfless big brother, but even better was Penn and Addie letting him just be a kid.

The ending and epilogue had me smiling ear to ear and also maybe crying inside... It was too cute.

The audio was great. I really loved Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin were amazing in this production and it was such a great listen. Thank you so much Valentine PR for this advanced copy!

Where do I even begin with this amazing story… and how this was one of my all time favorite series..
This was the best ending EVER.. i literally teared up so many times 😭 I loved every second of this audiobook. Connor Crais & Vanessa Edwin did such a good job with the narration and really felt like story came to life with them ❤️

Penn & Addy all started in the Bahamas 🏝️ with Penn officiating his friends wedding and the hit it off instantly. They only get in one kiss before Penn had to go help his friends and Addy ghosted him. Not even a week later Penn finds out Addy is his coaches daughter and she comes to work for the Mustangs as there new dietitian. Penn and Addy knew there was something there between them. Penn had been hanging out with a foster kid named Sam and he really had been there for him and had been trying to foster him, but when something happens to Sam, Addy was there in a heartbeat and to offer to marry Penn to help him to get Sam. These two move fast, with adding another foster and then adopting a Cat.

The relationships between all there friends and how much the other couples are in within this book was perfect and the epilogue really had my eyes watering.

It’s always so bittersweet when finishing a series && Willow really knows how to end a series! I was giggling and kicking my feet, while tearing up, then laughing my butt off in other parts. I love seeing all the characters from previous books, even past series!! This one was low angst and just so freaking sweet. I loved reading about Penn & Addy, the kids, the cats and all the craziness of the team. We know from previous books that Penn has formed a special relationship with Sam, a tween boy in foster care. As things get worse for Sam, Penn steps up to foster & adopt, but things are not easy for the single, playboy, football player. That is until Penn falls hard for a mystery woman he first met in the Bahamas. Although things didn’t progress much there, they both felt the spark. So when Addy shows up in town, as the team’s new nutritionist, Penn shoots his shot. Addy meets and falls just as hard for Sam, and comes up with the crazy idea of a fake marriage. But can it really be fake with growing affection?! Of course not!! Penn & Addy really were a perfect match! I loved how they came together for the kids, but also had a solid relationship and communication. I’m sad to see this series end, but excited for whatever Willow comes out with next!

Thank you Willow Aster & Valentine PR for the ARC!
