Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou?

Acting jobs are scarce now for former TV teen detective Antigone Alden. So when a teaching position opens up at Southern Coastal University, Tig packs up her teenage daughter and heads home to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

The house she inherited from her mother isn't entirely empty, however. Her mom seems stuck between this life and the next, and now Tig is a local reporter's prime suspect in the murder of the former theater professor. Given his reputation as ladies' man, there are plenty of people with a motive.

Tig isn't a detective. She just played one on TV. Will that be enough to help her find the killer?

Don't miss!

North Carolina, university, acting, cozy-mystery, law-enforcement, amateur-sleuth, murder, reporter

Loved it! Ghost notwithstanding, the cozy mystery is well done and complete with misdirections and red herrings. The characters certainly are and very enjoyable as well. It even includes a possible rekindle of a romance from twenty years earlier. Great! Especially since I got it on sale!
Kate Rudd is fantastic as narrator!

A lovely little escape

Likable characters, a strong sense of place, an unfinished question for a next book; add in an awesome narrator and it’s the recipe for 5 stars.

Curtains For Romeo

California just wasn't working for Tig, so when she is offered a teaching position in her hometown in the outer banks, she decides to pack up her teenage daughter and move into the house her mother left her upon her death. What she doesn't expect moving there is that the ghost of her mother still resides in the house and that the teacher positions she got will lead to murder and a old frenemy that now works for the town newspaper blaming it of her. Tig isn't a detective but she used to play a teenage one on TV will that be enough to exonerate her?

This is a great book (I had the audio narrated by the awesome Kate Rudd which is really good) and I could not put it down. There are redirects and red herons to keep you from guessing who done it before it is revealed. It is also a quaint and cozy book, but don't get me wrong Attila brings a certain amount of humor to this book as well, I loved the part about a kitty getting stand your ground rights against a dog in the kitties yard. This is a wonderful book and I hope you will think so too whether you get the book or audio you can't go wrong.
