Mig og Farfar henter ham. Vi venter uden for den store port. Han har to sorte sække og en stor taske over skulderen. Han griner, da han ser os. Slipper begge sække, breder armene ud og drejer rundt om sig selv.
„Freedom,“ siger han så. „Fuck, det føles bare godt.“
Mormor har lavet koteletter i fad og kartofler. Hun siger ikke så meget. Det gør jeg heller ikke.
Farfar og Daddy taler. Især Daddy.
„Hvasså?“ siger han pludselig og dasker til mig. „Er du klar til Albertslund?“
Jeg bliver helt varm indeni, selvfølgelig skal jeg bo sammen med ham, min Daddy.
Daddy ser på mig. „Men jeg er måske ikke din Daddy mere?“
„Klart.“ Jeg får røde kinder. „Klart, du er.“
Om det at skulle flytte sammen med sin far, efter han har været i fængsel, og få en ny hverdag sammen.
Daddys dreng er en del af serien MELLEM_RUM, som er en serie af lette kortromaner til udskolingen. Fortalt helt enkelt og skrevet af etablerede forfattere med fingeren på pulsen.
