bad decisions make good stories

I read somewhere that bad decisions make good stories. Nobody in this story makes a bad decision, except a roommate with a problem most of America has. Also, I couldn't help but think that the author made a deal with God that she barely holds up to. "Dear God, if I could only get published I promise I will mention You by Name once in every chapter". The Name dropping feels stilted and more obligatory than integral to the story. Finally, the narration is bad. The women sound like men. I've heard men read female parts with much more finesse.

Appallingly bad narration!

It's hard to tell how good or bad this book is because the narration is so terrible. When she changes between characters it's like listening to someone using a stupid voice to mock someone, or perhaps an appallingly bad actress. She places the emphasis on the wrong words which I feel is an injustice to the author. The voices are irritating to listen to. I feel that this was a waste of my money. If you're interested in this book, do yourself a favor and read the printed version.

Painful

I have never not finished an audio book and just cannot listen to this. The story line itself is painfully boring with all the religious babble and the french accents are so horrific I wanted to die. Paris was actually being ruined by this reading, I wish I didn't have to give it any stars.

Not Worth Your Time

This was one of the worst books I have chosen. The narrator's voices are hard to digest.

Not a favorite!

First off the woman reading this book is awful! The book its self is pretty boring and I found myself fast forwarding just so I could get to the end.
