A balmy way to go

With her Let It Bee honey boutique buzzing along nicely, life is as sweet as nectar for Wren Johnson - until she takes a morning walk along the Pacific beach with her Havana Brown cat, Everett, and stumbles upon the body of Agnes Snow, the cranky queen of the local craft fairs, stiff as driftwood. More unfortunate? Clutched in the victim's fist is a label from Wren's homemade beeswax-and-honey lip balm. Which makes Officer Jim Hampton focus his dreamy-blue Paul Newman eyes on Wren as suspect number-one.

With fabulous feline support from Everett, Wren must comb the town for clues and clear her name before someone else gets stung.

Delightful read. Had me guessing who was the killer. Also liked the recipes described in the story.

A sweet story

Best cozy book EVER. I can’t think of one critique. I found myself unable to just stop at the end of each chapter and binge listened for at least an hour each time.Not until now have I listened to a narrator read a story and forget that it’s the same person reading all characters ( if that makes sense). I am so glad I’ve discovered this author & narrator. If I was forced to come up with one thing negative to say it would be there needs to be more books in this series.

For a mystery, the main character is not smart and insightful but portrayed more as immature and reckless.

Setting was lovely

I kept thinking that his narrator was virtual because the narrator speaks in a monotone, And doesn’t differentiate characters.
The main character is not highly likable, but she impulsive and ignorant in the action that she takes in a beautiful area of Oregon. It’s unfortunate that she’s not a great character. It is a weak story.
