Publisher's summary

Ellie Richmond has never been a particularly happy person. When her first vision of death happened at the age of four it was hard not to be jaded.

After Ellie’s mom dies and her out of the picture dad shows up at her funeral claiming she’s in grave danger, things are going to go to a whole other level of weird. Even for for someone with Ellie’s abilities.

Thrust into the world of angels and demons, Ellie will find herself in the midst the war to end all other wars and she’s the meat the dogs are fighting over.

No one could have ever seen this coming, not even Ellie.

Intriguing Series Starter

This book intrigued me from the start & I really enjoyed this first book in the series. I really like the world tge author has created & how Angels are portrayed. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the story and characters to life. I look forward to more in the series

Interesting plot, will continue to read the series!

The author presents us with the age-old story of angels and the fallen, but with a brand new perspective. I enjoyed listening to the narrator's performance of the story, it kept me engaged and interested as the plot line progressed. the twists and turns, especially toward the end of the book, hooked me in to reading the next book in the series to find out what happens, not only to the main character but in relation to the bigger theme as well.

You already knew you were different but....

You already knew you were different but now you know why. I like the main character (snarky) and the back up characters as well. You follow Elle as she finds out why she is different and she is a pawn in a much bigger game. This one sets up the story of warring angels and their children stuck in the middle. I look forward to see what happens next (both to the main character but her friends and enemies also) . On the narration side, while Krys did a good job there were times where she seemed to be just reading the book (stilted, not bad just distracting, usually during Elle's thinking segments) other times she was more in tune with the story and the characters. It got better as the story went but would still pop out every now and then. I really like the book and Krys did well as the story progressed. I am definitely looking forward to see what happens as the story continues. I received this book for review and these are my honest opinions.

Loved it

This audio book was addicting. I couldn’t put it down. The storyline and characters were very well written and I have to say I love that the MC was from omaha Nebraska. That’s where I’m from too. The narrator did a wonderful job.

Quite Unique!

Death in her Eyes by Erin Bedford and narrated by Krys Janae is the first in the Children of the Fallen series.
We meet Ellie Richmond, the FMC, after she creates a small problem at her school.
We meet Dex, the MMC, as he tries to convince her to come to his academy.
We have Angels, Demons and of course Prophecies.
Would I listen to this book again? yes
Would I recommend this book to others? yes
