Three books in one

I received this audiobook free in exchange for an honest review.

This is actually three books in one, Decluttering Your Home in a Year or Less, Organize Your Digital Life, and Organize Your Home in a Year or Less.

I went into this with some skepticism because the idea of anything taking a year is a bit daunting. But, I became convinced that in order to declutter and organize well and properly, you have to take your time. That said, overall, I found the books to be a bit judgy and condescending and very much for neuro-typical folks.

For the middle book, Organize Your Digital Life, it kind of reinforced some things I’ve been thinking about doing anyway. The idea of a digital detox is very attractive these days. Social media and politics and the world is falling apart….disconnecting from it all sounds great!

The narration for all of the books is just okay. I prefer the narrator for the first book, but there are some stumbles and repeated phrases that haven't been edited out. I found the voice of the narrator of the other two books to be a bit grating.

Good collection of advice for organizing home and

Doesn't clean your house for you, but does offer good advice on getting your home and digital life sorted. The book tackles what steps to take and includes advice on getting to the root of why all the clutter came into your life to help you keep it clean and organized beyond taking the steps to cleanup.

Each chapter covers the next step and includes an Exercise, a writing prompt, to help think about how the advice will apply to your life. It's not a list of tasks, but setting up the end result and helping us get there.

The advice isn't anything groundbreaking or new, but does sound like a good friend sharing all they learned this year about getting rid of the unnecessary, cleaning up, spending less time staring at the phone and keeping it that way.

Overall it's a good listen to cover the basics and give you a roadmap of what stops you need to complete to get there.

She had me at purses…..

I believe everyone has their own level of acceptable clutter. When Kai talked about buying another purse when there were plenty of others in your closet, that resonated with me. She’s got just the right amount of sass when she writes of imagining what it would be like to move around without mountains of crap you don’t need! For me, it’s excess purses, books and Tupperware. Listen to her advice, follow the exercises and you’ll figure out what is right for you! I can’t wait to finish the series.

Pretty good

Good overall book. The digital clutter and not being on our smartphone didn’t resonate with me but good for someone who wants to declutter their life.

Some good tips and practical advice

I’m always looking for decluttering/organizing ideas, and I enjoyed the journal aspect of this book, including the free resources! The narrator for the first book was okay, but the one for the second two I could only handle for short intervals.
