Story
It is an age of exploration. Jedi travel the galaxy, expanding their understanding of the Force and all the worlds and beings connected by it. Meanwhile, the Republic, led by its two chancellors, works to unite worlds in an ever-growing community among near and distant stars. On the close-orbiting planets of Eiram and E’ronoh, the growing pains of a galaxy with limited resources but unlimited ambition are felt keenly. The two worlds’ hatred for each other has fueled half a decade of escalating conflict and now threatens to consume surrounding systems.

Story
On the planet Tython, the ancient Je’daii order was founded. And at the feet of its wise Masters, Lanoree Brock learned the mysteries and methods of the Force - and found her calling as one of its most powerful disciples. But as strongly as the Force flowed within Lanoree and her parents, it remained absent in her brother, who grew to despise and shun the Je’daii, and whose training in its ancient ways ended in tragedy. Now, from her solitary life as a Ranger keeping order across the galaxy, Lanoree has been summoned by the Je’daii Council on a matter of utmost urgency.

I enjoyed the story.
I like that vernestra didn't cower from fighting back. She didn't spend minutes trying to tell her attackers that she didn't want to kill them. She just took care of business. However, I'm spoiled by Marc Thompson. I enjoyed listening to this person but it was difficult to listen to certain parts.

One of the best HR books
Lots of revelations and new questions in this one, and not just relating to Vernestra. Maybe not as good as the Path of books from Phase 2, but definitely better than the phase 1 YA books.

Drawn out and kind of boring
Narrator seemed bored with the content. Very monotone with little to no enthusiasm. Story just kind of dragged on. This high republic series has been hit or miss, this one is a miss. Better off skipping

Lackluster Narration
Narration was pretty monotone throughout and not much change in voice inflection from character to character. Story was good overall though.

Boring
Disney messing up a good story. Please let’s have better narrators in the next book.

Narrator is hard to listen to
Story was good as always. I love Amber's voice, but the way she enunciates every single letter is distracting, especially because it causes her reading to feel almost metered, with pauses that are just slightly too long between words. It feels very nitpicky, and probably is, but unfortunately these things do impact the overall audiobook experience.

Great story
This was a good book to listen to well thought out characters and the story flows and connects everything from previous books as well.
