Election Tampering and Smuggling in Florida

Finn and Mary accept a mission to find the true identity of an internet influencer. "Harry Sledge" uses his army of followers to rally voters behind his chosen candidates.

Besides his political efforts, Sledge is manipulating several militias. He's using them to smuggle drugs, arms, and people.

Finn and Mary are soon caught in a power struggle between two factions within Sledge's empire. Will they survive to identify the man behind the Sledge persona?

Devils and Divas is a fast-paced adventure set in south Florida and the Bahamas. There's plenty of action and a plot that reflects current events. Don't start Devils and Divas until you have time to finish it; you won't press pause. Perfect for fans of travel adventure and sea stories.

Assassins

Finn and Mary continue to get the bad guys but more on shore than boat, Finn seems more trusting of Mary now. There is a lot of action and killing. Recommend if you enjoy an intense espionage mystery with good narration. I was given this free review copy audiobook and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

Love this series!

I have loved this series from the first book. Each has delivered Finn and Mary as the masterful righters of wrongs that they are and you can't help but to root for them. This book continues in that vain. As the 7th book in the series, it's not my absolute favorite but a least favorite Finn book is better than a slew of others.

As always, Bosco's narration is what makes this story. You believe he's Finn and there really is no better accolade for a narrator.

I’m so hooked- don’t want it to end

This is the seventh book I have read/listened to by this author (all have been in this series) and I would definitely listen to another. I only received this audiobook yesterday and could not resist listening to it straight away. I even put it ahead of a couple other books I received first. I don’t know what it is about this series! This is not a typical book I tend to listen to. That is not to say I have never listened to similar books, I have listen to the Jason Bourne series, but this one does not have a whole lot of action or a fast-moving pace. I think that is part why I am really drawn to this series. I like the methodical intrigue, the constant guessing to the truth of the matter, the characters skill and know how instead of Rambo style attack. I cannot wait for the next book and I know I will be disappointed when the series ends.———

This is the twelfth book I have listened to by this narrator ( David Bosco ). Just as Ian McKellen is Gandolf, David Bosco is Finn. He does a wonderful job performing these books. I have gotten lost in every one of them.———

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive / overly descriptive violence, there is occasional swearing. ———

Twists and turns!

Lots of bad guys and double-crossing to keep you on your toes to follow the characters.

David Bosco did a good job narrating.

This series continues to entertain!

These books are so well written, with intense personalities, edge of your seat interactions, unexpected plot twists and a close knit group who always look out for one another, I feel as if I know the characters and can see them as I listen to David Bosco tell me what is happening. He does such a wonderful job narrating this series. Each character has his or her own strong personality and Mr. Bosco does a fine job bringing it out. I can see each character as I listen along. Finn and Mary continue to entertain me with their adventures. Working better as a team in every book, their trust for one another has grown to where they are now comfortable relying on each other as they complete their tasks. For me, this book seemed even more complex than the previous books. Both the plot and characters were more complicated and unpredictable than usual. If anything, these books just keep getting better! I am so hooked on this series I fear I will be lost when it ends. I look forward to each new book so I can follow along with each new adventure/ job. Finn & Mary's adventures continue, lots of action!

Devils and Divas (J.R. Finn Sailing Mystery Series, Book 7) by Charles Dougherty and narrated by David Bosco is another great one to the series! Recommend if you’ve been following the story or are looking for great narration! 4 ½ stars for story, 5+ stars for narration.

What’s it about? Finn and Mary’s adventures continue this time on land as they attempt to track down Harry Sledge for their current employer, Phorcys. There is a good amount of action in this one (might be the most in the series- from what I recall), a lot of “who is it” mystery, plotting, bad guys, team work, various adventures, and more. I do miss that sailing aspect but the action makes up for it.

The narrator, David Bosco, once again did a fabulous job! Wonderful character voices, good pace, good emotion, etc. If you haven’t listened to his narrations, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Devils and Divas ranks as one of the best in the series- as I’ve said before, it’s easy to get sucked into these books between the story and narration. One thing’s for sure, Finn and Mary’s adventures are a fun, easy listen!

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: Some violence, death, weapons, drug dealing/smuggling/drug addiction, voter intimidation mention, and other like things (nothing in great details). Finn and Mary are assassins-if you’ve made it this far in the book, you should have a general idea of what happens in the books. Language used: Sx18, Fu Manchu mentioned once when describing a mustache.

Exciting Series

I was provided this audiobook for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions contained herein are my own.

I am really enjoying this series. It has two smart main characters, who happen to be assassins and work with a high-tech team. Lots of action, twists, and lots of fun.

Each book in this series is narrated by David Bosco - and I can't imagine anyone else doing this series justice.

South Florida drugs

Finn and Mary are at it again. Now they are in south Florida bringing down the bad guys who as it turns out also happens to part of the government and in this time of the era has a lot of believably. This was a great story but for some reason the story line (in my opinion) was not as great as past stories. Mary and Finn are not people I would want to cross paths with.
The narrator as always did a great job

Great

I love this series. I think most people who are in to sailing, spies, mystery, murder and great characters will too!
Finn and Mary are some of my favorite character of this genre.
David Bosco is one of my favorite narrators ever. He is simply brilliant. Can’t imagine anyone else voicing Finn.

I can now guess where Charles leans politically.

I’ve very much enjoyed listening to the first six books in the series. Book 7 was going well until the “Bad” guys are portrayed as right wing extremists. Question for Charles: Do you believe Trump supporters are the greater threat the US is facing?
