Publisher's summary

This concise book discusses how Erickson used the two significant "mental mechanism", which he called splitting and linking. If these patterns were related to mental or even physical dysfunctions, he believed that these mechanisms needed to be altered as a condition of achieving the desired application. You will quickly learn this concept and will be able to immediately master and apply this in your practice.

Milton H. Erickson, M.D. was an American psychiatrist who pioneered several indirect or permissive hypnosis techniques. He also developed several naturalistic techniques using metaphors and stories. He is one of the two most important figures in the development of hypnosis and hypnotherapy in the 20th century. His techniques have been used in behavioral and medical applications.

This is book three of the Embracing Ambiguity: The Worlds of Ericksonian Hypnosis series.

Yikes

I would definitely be interested in the written version since the content seems pretty good. I purchased a handful of these Ericksonian audios at once (not a good idea) and I honestly found the narration unbearable. With all due respect. I tried to slow it down, speed it up, anything to get around the distracting irregularity of the tone and pace and overall feel of narration, but sadly nothing worked. I tried to appreciate it but this audio series should be rerecorded. Please. I would purchase these after returning the current audios if they were read more appropriately, the content is worth the effort of rerecording the series.

Thank you.
