Decluttering your digital life and finding peace and calmness

Do you often find yourself with racing thoughts, trouble focusing on one task, and always checking your emails, texts, and Facebook messages, as if you may miss out on something?

Do you feel like your personal happiness is decreasing with time because of all the digital overhead and tech clutter that seems absolutely necessary to have?

Do you wonder what it would be like to be able to get back to a time when you really could focus on what you really want to do, your passions, hobbies, and being in the present moment?

Look at it this way - when you’re out with your partner or a close friend, do you become annoyed at them because they always seem to be on their phone? You’ve come out to eat a meal together and spend quality time, but he or she is messaging someone far away, or checking the latest news online, perhaps scrolling through Instagram.

This is such a very common occurrence these days. We lose sight of the relationships or events which are right in front of us, because we’re too busy living in a digital world, one that doesn’t actually exist.

We don’t see the beauty of the things around us because we’re too busy staring at a small piece of plastic which connects us to what we think is the "world". If only the millennial could understand that it’s not the world, it’s a virtual reality that they’re choosing to plug into.

When you choose to be a "digital minimalist", you give yourself the power to open your eyes to the wonder of nature, the beauty all around you, and you can dedicate time to the important things and relationships in your life.

In this audiobook, you will learn how to do this by:

  • Starting with the absolute 80/20 things to eliminate and keep.
  • Finding ways to automate repetitive tasks with very little oversight.
  • How to properly do a "digital detox".

Slow down, smell the world! Download your copy of Digital Minimalism now.

A digital minimalism manifesto

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to live a more intentional and fulfilling life. I am a young lawyer and creative who after grueling years of studying in law school wants to be able to succeed in his profession and make up for lost time with his family. Thanks to this book I have learned ways to use technology more intentionally and to convey this philosophy to others.

Keeping your life focused

I have listened to it and have begun practicing what it discusses. If you find yourself checking your phone a lot this book can help you kick the habit. A mindless approach will lead to overuse. This book is great at cluing you into the fact that these things are here to serve you, not the other way around.

Worth Listening

Highly recommended. Such solid info and great advice for using technology to support a deeply valued life instead of turning overall control of our time to our devices.

GOOD ONE

This is a big deal for me because even though I love, I am dyslexic and I usually get frustrated and quit around now but I am invested. It's simple to read, the sections aren't long, so not only do I feel educated, but I feel accomplished after each one which makes me wanna keep going.

I love this audiobook

I love this audiobook and these guys. Great listen if you're looking for inspiration. I did indeed enjoy listening about the crazy diets and plans they took upon themselves, This audiobook contains enlightening lessons that will profoundly change your life.

A primer for managing your attention intentionall

Fantastic book. Should be required reading before creating a Facebook account. Following these suggestions is difficult, but tremendously rewarding. A great look at how technology can be a problem for many. This has good ideas on how to release its control over you.

This is well written and organized.

It outlines what minimalism is, and it is much different than what I thought going in. It's not about living off the least things possible but more about getting stuff out of your life that doesn't have a purpose. This is well written and organized. It is an easy read, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their life in any way.

Wow

I chose minimalism because I was interested in lifestyle before reading. As soon as I started the book, I knew I wouldn't be able to quit. I spent hours reading and highlighting. I highlighted parts that were important to me and made me reflect on my life, so I underlined the entire book. For me, this will not be a single reading. This is one to review from time to time to see how your perspective on life has changed and what you can work on.

Digital Minimalism isn't anti-technology.

I enjoyed this book immensely. There are a number of good methods that the authors walk the reader through. He also makes it clear as to what benefits will be achieved by taking these steps. I'm going to look into Light phone. I would definitely recommend for everyone, even people who think they’ve “got it under control.”
