Publisher's summary

What's haunting Lee Tyack? He's moved in with Gideon Frayne, and they're both loving their new lives. But the shadow is still there - a voice from hell that torments clairvoyant Lee, and which even the pragmatic copper Gideon can hear.

Gideon's determined to protect his lover. But after a serious injury on duty, Gideon finds out the hard way that he needs protection too. His job's on the line and he's scared. Worst of all, he thinks he knows who that voice belongs to - and he can't stop Lee from heading off to confront this most terrifying ghost from his past.

When the full spring moon rises over Cornwall's rugged coast, and the veil between the worlds grows thin, Tyack and Frayne must join forces to solve a decades-old mystery that still has the power to tear their world apart.

Another great addition

I love this couple and this is yet another strong book in the series. I’m so happy to see more of Ezekiel and their mom too.

These get better each book!

This book was fabulous! My favourite so far. I definitely recommend this series.

The stories are fast-paced, quick mysteries with romance and relationship as the central points, but with a satisfying amount of paranormal in them.

Same complaint about the narrator—not keeping voices straight, and starting to make women sound goofy.

Not a stand-alone

As part of the series we continue to learn more about Gideon and Lee. In this one the series continued to grow the backstory and a mystery in the village of one of the main characters grew up in. Mysteries abound both on the natural realm and the spiritual one.

the story continues from the other books. I enjoy this pair as a couple I find they compliment each other very well. the mystery and paranormal that these books take you through is really interesting as well.

Love this series!

I'm loving this series so much!

I was so happy when I saw that this book was a bit longer than the previous ones, there's just never enough of Lee and Gideon.

Gideon and Lee have now moved in with each other and are happily bobbing along with the everyday stuff, their work, managing to get the wallpaper upside down, and you know - life. They are living life with all the bumps that comes along with being a psychic and working as a copper in a small town.

Don't Let Go delves deeper into the long forgotten past. A past that has been long buried and the ghosts disturbed might just come back to haunt our two favourite people. But more than that, we get to know them on a much deeper level than we already do. Questions we have are answered and new friendships are formed and old relationships are mended.

I am going to be honest with you. You don't read this series for the awesome mysteries, because frankly they can be a bit so so. You read (devour) these books for the feel of them. That creepy, yet cosy feeling Fox somehow manages to create. You read it for the wonderful characters, the amazing sense of place and just about everything about them. And they are highly addictive, so make sure you have the next book ready to go before finishing the last one!

Once again Tim Gilbert did an amazing job narrating this book. He makes you feel like you're a part of the story. You are one of the characters in the book, you are there for the adventures, and you are most definitely there yelling at Gideon for being a stubborn ass. And you will have a great time doing it.

If you haven't already, pick this series up now. I promise you won't regret it!

The journey continues

Lee and Gid are once again on the trail of the threatening spirit who harasses them both now. Gideon is recovering from a stab wound as they travel to Lee’s childhood home to face the past.

As always, this couple is fiercely loyal and always have each other’s back. Plus more if they can get it 😉. Love the tenderness Lee and Gid show each other in so many ways.

Much better then the Second!

My favorite thing about this author is, and I will always bring this up, the way the author describes situations and objects. Not outright telling the reader what it is, allowing the effects or interactions with it be the building blocks; it’s kind of using the negative space to describe. This book had a ton of that going on and I really appreciated it!

Story was a good surprise and realistic in its depictions. I really adore all the characters and their ways of dealing with each other. This felt like a solid move forward for the characters.

I am beginning to see that the author likes to address acceptance of tragedy. Ground it in some way and allow the characters to deal with hard choices in a realistic manner. I think that is why I did not like the second, there was less of a humbling situation going on.

Unlike the other books where I felt like the sex was just inserted for the sake of it just bing there. Here it helped show what the characters were thinking or it set up for ways their interactions might change.

It was read well though the two mains voices can blend from time to time, nothing too distracting.
Overall, very happy and am going to continue.

About Gideon

Gideon is a magnet for trouble, atleast he has a bit of humor. Good ending.
I've enjoyed the first 3 books.

.

I have really enjoyed reading these short books. I enjoyed the characters and the fanciful but suspenseful nature of the stories.
However, I do have two concerns. First, the explicit nature of the sexual content should be hinted at in the preview since there are many readers out there who would be offended by this level of content.
Secondly, I am used to the audio books of which I listen being between 10 to 15 hours long, not between 3 or 5 . When I use my monthly credit I want the audio book to last long enough to be worth that credit.
