Publisher's summary

It’s Christmas Eve, and Violet Parker has one request on her list for Santa - to make it home to her kids. Unfortunately, “home” is also the lair of her life-long nemesis, her sister Susan, aka the devil’s concubine.

Standing in Violet’s way is Old Man Winter, who slammed the Black Hills with a show-stopping blizzard. However, a little snow isn’t going to ground her sleigh, not with family counting on her to deliver Santa’s goods.

Trying to keep Christmas from turning into a candy cane calamity, Violet battles her demons and struggles through the chaos storming around her. Can she make it through the holiday without cracking anyone’s nut?

“Keep your fingers crossed this whole holiday doesn’t blow up in our faces.” (Violet Parker)

Great Christmas listen

I don't understand some people's hate on this book. I guess some people don't appreciate a feel good Christmas story, with a little nookie thrown in. If you can't bare a story with no flinging of battle axes at other worldly creatures, then by all means skip it. If you want to spend some time getting to know Violet and her friends and family, give it a listen. Or read the book.

Deadwood Series has it all!

Can’t get enough of Zoey, Boots, Doc, Coop, Nat, and my favorite HARVEY!!! Caroline Shaffer does an AMAZING job with both male and female voices, I could listen to her narrate ANY book!! Must read if you love gory, humor, suspense, creepy, mystery, paranormal, with a shot of steamy erotic scenes!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND starting with book 1 of this series!!!

Wonderful, Holiday, Fun Read!

Enjoyed every minute of this one! Loved how Ann brought all the beloved regulars together for some bonding time and wove the semi-regulars in. Level of holiday cheer: 110!

Understanding Family Dynamics

Although, the title was missing, the usual, chasing after evil spirits,; the reader gains a better insight into family dynamics. Despite being different from the other books, in the series, the background information helped to develop the main character. It answered some of the reasons for conflict, and added another layer to the storyline.

Interesting

I wasn't sure how far I could get into this due to the reader, but I got used to her pretty quickly. She just sounds like one of those perky list makers on youtube. There are aspects of the story that I kept waiting to be explained, like how she is some sort of monster fighter, but they never did. I guess they just assume you have read previous books and know all about it. It didn't detract from the story though, and in fact, I found it kind of an interesting twist on the normal lives of people. There were also a bunch of things I really liked, like the main character's relationship with her boyfriend, and other people. I was not so crazy about the depiction of the sister. It was good that the parents finally stood up to her, but they sure let her get away with a lot before that. All in all, I'm glad I read it.

Hooked since one.

I have loved this series since book one. I like how it is always the same, and now I'm invested in the characters, and the story line.

So refreshing to enjoy the gang for Christmas!

It was a good time enjoying the gang during their Christmas celebration. Yes there is no murder mystery in this book and it's about half the length of the other books. it's a good story and they're still mystery and minor suspense . It's a very enjoyable story. You can get it on Kindle with an audible upgrade at a discounted price I think it's well worth it.
