About this listen
Alastair MacKay, a battled-scarred Dragon Knight, flees to the sea to separate himself from his fae-given power connecting him to the land. She soon discovers a Dragon Knight's relic has been entrusted into her care. Determined to return the artifact to the Great Glen, Fiona is unprepared for the danger ahead - losing her heart and soul to Alastair "Beast" MacKay.
Will their love be strong enough to soothe the beast and heal the man? Or will Death swing its axe, leaving them lost for all eternity?

Story
Said to be a changeling child left to the King and Queen of Cornwall, Gwendolyn is "blessed" at her cradle by three Fae gifts: a prophecy for her future, a gift of "Reflection," and a golden mane-quite literally, every lock of her hair will turn to gold, only provided it is cut by her one true love. Yet no one understands more than Gwendolyn that her blessings are actually curses. Any man who gazes upon her will see his own heart reflected in her countenance, and depending upon his virtue, she is the loveliest woman in all the land… or the most hideous.

Love is Timeless
Allistair and Fiona
Timeless Love:
Allistair's power is the earth. To punish himself for the horrible night he and his brothers lost their sister and their Knighthood, he sails the seas trading from Scotland to Ireland. He hates the water but it is the least he deserves. On one trip he rescues Fiona from slave traders.
Unlike all the other times he ignored the goings-on he could not ignore her. As her protector, he agrees to take her to her family in Ireland. When feelings are heated a long trip can only make resiting impossible.
Fiona is caught unaware by the slave trader. When she is sold to Allister she wonders if she is in a better situation.
Their love story is funny, sad, filled with the stubbornness of both. When evil magic intrudes a battle will be fought--will they live through it?
I love the series the families. The reader gets to visit the other brothers who have battled to earn back their status. Allistaire knows he can never--right?
I listened to the audio version and loved not only the story and the strength of the characters but the narration was great. I'm listening to the entire series.

The Dragon Knight's Are My Favorite Book Brothers!
What made the experience of listening to Dragon Knight's Axe the most enjoyable?
I have read the book, but listening to the audio book made the experience so much better. Paul Woodson brought the characters to life for me, and made them feel real.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Alastair is my favorite 'Dragon Knight' thus far, but in this book I have to say that Fiona was my favorite character. She is a strong woman, if not a tad stubborn. She speaks her mind, but does not harp or complain about the situation she finds her self in. She is a smart woman. I also love when a heroine knows her mind, and does not play cat and mouse games throughout the story.
What about Paul Woodson’s performance did you like?
Paul Woodson did a great job narrating Dragon Knight's Axe. He read with just the right amount of intensity throughout the story. When listening to an audio book the way a male narrator does the female parts will make or break the audio book for me. I listened to the whole book, so that means he did a wonderful job. There were a few (very few) parts where I feel that he overly did it, but it was nothing that ruined listening to the story for me. I have listened to books Paul has narrated in the past, and enjoyed them all.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have loved to listen to it all in on sitting, but that was not possible. I had to pause it (reluctantly) a few times over the three days that it took me to finish it.
Any additional comments?
If you enjoy time travel romance, set it Medieval Scotland, feisty heroines, mixed with a little magic, with a stubborn but a redeemable male hero, then you will love Mary Morgans, Dragon Knight's. Alastair McKay will steal your heart, and have you cheering for him right up til the very end.

BEST ONE YET, CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT!!!!
Where does Dragon Knight's Axe rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Mary Morgan has gotten better with each book I have enjoyed all of them but I would say this is my favorite so far I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
What did you like best about this story?
I thought when I started this book that it would be the last but I was surprised to find there is another brother and will look forward to hearing the next.
Which character – as performed by Paul Woodson – was your favorite?
I really enjoyed Paul Woodson have never heard him before but I really like him the best he did a great job with all the characters. When I listen to a book, I want the narrator to have enough inflection that it doesn't matter to me if he is doing a man or women voice that you don't loose your way in the story by listening to a narrator that may be good at men voices but not women or visa versa. He was great with both

Compelling!
Alastair and Fiona’s story is a well written, emotional story that reels you in and doesn't release you until it's done. Mary Morgan made me want to spend time with the characters and maybe give them a nudge or some advice once in a while. A unique story with some surprises and twists that will hold on to your attention to the end. You will not regret picking this one up. Paul Woodson does an amazing job with the narration.

A love story that travels through the veil of time
What did you love best about Dragon Knight's Axe?
I loved how the internal struggle that Alistair had played out with such intensity that he had to truly be broken before he could heal and that Fiona couldn't truly love him until he loved himself.
What did you like best about this story?
The love story and how it showed that there is always a road to redemption if you truly want to find forgiveness.
Have you listened to any of Paul Woodson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No this is the first one I've listened to but definitely won't be the last. He is magnificient.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes it was the moment where Alistair destroyed his Axe.

magical
I read the book a while ago and loved it then. What a journey Fiona and Alastair had to their HEA. I was bombarded by emotions but I kept on hoping that he will redeem himself and take his rightful place beside his brothers. What a twist with Fiona travelling to the future and back, unlike the other two heroines in the previous books. The scene of their wows at the end had me in tears, so beautiful.
Listening to Mr. Woodson telling this story I loved so much made it even better, brought it alive. Thank you!

A story drenched in magic
Mary Morgan's story comes to life with the rich narration of her magical tale. From the first introduction of Alastair as he fights the stormy seas through the telling of a tale rich in the magic of the land, the beautiful tale of redemption will haunt the listener. Fiona is brave enough to stand up to the beast in Alastair. The journey from Ireland to Urquhart is brought to life with details that will make the listener believe that they are viewing the land with their own eyes. The story itself, that of a knight plagued by his sister's death and his own role in it, is brought to a stunning crescendo as he comes face to face with the great dragon. The struggle within his heart and his belief that he cannot be redeemed is tempered by his love of his lady, Fiona. Fiona's gift of talking with the animals is a beautiful counterpoint to Alastair's control of the land. This is a tale worth the listening. The lush descriptions bring depth to the story. And the beautiful lilting reading makes for an even greater delight.
