HISTORICAL FICTION

"E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer is an action-packed novel exploring the potential fallout for North America if terrorists were to create an electromagnetic pulse. The story follows newlyweds Kelly and Tom Turbulo, whose honeymoon in Honduras takes an unexpected turn when they discover a secret operation targeting the United States. The novel emphasizes the courage and patriotism of individual Americans who set aside their personal issues to prevent a national disaster. The 16 chapters of the book take readers on an adventurous journey, showcasing the collective efforts of Americans working to ensure their country's safety.

The story features several fictional characters, each contributing their unique skills to the action, suspense, and humor. The primary antagonist is a dictator orchestrating a plot to overthrow the U.S. government. Kelly Turbulo, with her sharp eye for detail, uncovers the secret operation during her honeymoon, initiating the story's main events. Her husband, Tom Turbulo, joins her in unraveling the plot, blending romance with their shared mission. Steve, a CIA agent in Honduras, brings his investigative skills and intelligence resources to the team, playing a crucial role in countering the threat. The U.S. Military Team also plays a vital role in executing the plan to stop the Korean operations, showcasing their expertise in military tactics.

The novel's straightforward and action-filled plot, along with its easy-to-understand language, makes for an enjoyable read. Although there is some profanity, it fits the context of the story. Overall, the book is engaging and entertaining. The book is ideal for lovers of fiction.

Solid book

This book wasn't the most unique story line, but the narration still made it enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy listen.

E M P honeymoon

It was not what I expected. But I did learn about EMP which I have never heard of before. This is not the best book that I have read/listened too but it is not the worst either.

EMP Honeymoon

This was my first book by Dorothy May Mercer, the book was just ok. There were long pauses and skipped quite a bit in Chapter 9. Just wasn't my kind of book. I was voluntarily provided this free copy by the author, narrator or publisher.

Would recommend

“EMP Honeymoon” by Dorothy May Mercer was rather enjoyable. There were a few developmental plot points I didn’t find too believable, but nothing that took away from my overall experience. As such, this book deserves a 5 out of 5 star rating.

Terrorizing Terrorists

This is the second of the Mike McBride books I've read, and I do enjoy them for the easy flow of story and somewhat campy nature. The protagonists make defeating terrorists seem a lot easier than in reality, and it's qujite refreshing to see. In this story, there was far more suspense and a sense of danger for several of the characters, both pro- and an- tagonists. The performance by Scott Ellis is pretty solid, though the overlay of the same voice for group singing numbers wasn't as enjoyable as the rest of the book. On the whole, a good solid modern fiction with fun characters and some decent parodies of world leaders.

not that bad

The story line was a bit borring, ordinary "USA offence-diffense story".
But the narration made it enjoyable.
