What a great prequel to the Blaze of Glory series! The plot continues to evolve in this story. The author is really great with her development of characters. The narration was great. I previously read the first 2 books in the Blaze of Glory series and loved them as well! I look forward to the next book in this series and have no doubt that the author will deliver the same awesomeness! . Fantastic Prequel!

The forerunner of "The Blaze of Glory", this delightful tale tells us of the meeting and relationship of Dec and Elina, the mother of Seth and Tealah. This relationship is what the future books relate to, and gives the reader a better understanding of the love Declan had for his children's mother.
The narrator of this audio rendition, gives a very good impression of Elina's Swedish accent, and adds an interesting aspect to the story.

Good story. Not a runaway romance. More like a single mom’s struggle. Liked the storyline, not a so much the narrator. Her voice sounded a little older then I thought she she should have been. Thinking her voice is more for the grandmother type.
I want to read this without her voice so I get a better picture.

I listened to Blaze of Glory (#1) before listening to this, and really loved learning more about the story and characters. I think the writing for these books is amazing, it captures so much emotion, intensity and longing for both love and family. Loved learning more about Elina, and I'm definitely captivated by this entire series. I'll definitely continue reading more in the series, and think anyone would love these books! Definitely recommended :)

AWESOME PREQUEL!!

I so enjoyed the story of Elina (Tia and Seth's mom) and her relationship with Declan. I have listened to the Blaze of Glory books and wanted her story. The narration on this book is outstanding. I loved the Swedish (although it sounded Russian) accent of single mom Elina. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. The character of Elina showed so much determination and depth. I loved how she put her children first. This was great background for other books by this author. I definitely will listen to more books by this author and narrator.

I loved learning about the beginning of this wonderful series. It was definitely worth the listen, and it amazes me how it all began. We even get to see how Tea and Jaden first meet.

Elina was most definitely the love of Decks life and we got to see a somewhat softer side of the man he truly is.

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I want me a Declan. A take charge guy who does what is needed and is also not afraid to explain himself. He goes about doing what is needed to help this single mother and wins the hearts of her children first before doing all of the things needed to win her heart. He is protective without being overbearing and is able to step back when he needs to. She changes him in small ways that make his mother happy and the mother goes about in a unassuming way as well to not only keep Elina and her kids in her son's life but to make them feel that they are a welcome addition to her life and she is not put-upon. The narrator did a good job with the story. I loved several of the secondary characters and their inclusion into the story was well done.

This is a prelude to what will happen for the second part. The author wrote this story full of many twists and turns that will keep you guessing what is going to happen till the very end. This series will grab you and keep you wanting to get the rest of the series. This is where everything starts the listen tells us of the meeting and relationship of Dec and Elina, the mother of Seth and Tealah. It shows love and devotion. You get a better understanding for how the children interacted .

The narrator was good. Her Swedish Accent was right . Her voice was strong, clear and strong

Loved the accent and Heathers voice. Single moms always struggle but Ellie manages to figure it out to get her kids what they want most. Bonus, she gets what she wanted even if she didn’t know it.
