Story
In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

When her master dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift as the ship arrives in New York Harbor. Ahmad is a jinni, a being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian Desert. Interesting ideas
Probably a great book for the younger crowd. I don't really know what I didn't like about it. Too zippy, maybe? Characters too flat? I don't like cliff-hangers, either. I know they sell books, but I like a satisfying ending to the first in a series, or I don't go to the next.

Has your mind been hacked?
If you could sum up Elixir Project in three words, what would they be?
This story is so scary because you don't know what's real and what's made-up sci fi. It's absolutely awesome. It starts slow, but then it's pure fire.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main character, Sienna Lewis.
Which scene was your favorite?
Too many to list, but there's one scene where they are competing in a pool of cerebral fluid. I can't imagine how nasty that must be!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Have you been hacked?
Any additional comments?
It's so hard for me to describe this book. Not only is it a sci-fi thriller, but now I'm questioning so many things in this world. And I'm wondering if my mind has been hacked. It's hard to describe "hack" without listening to this book, but the concept is incredible. This will definitely be made into a movie soon! So worth it! Phenomenal characters, scenes, and story!

Very interesting story with a lot of TRUTH.
The plot was very creative and interesting. The story really kept me engaged and making predictions, which was fun. It's also full of very useful truths that can prove effective in real life, not just in fiction. Excellent book.

ONE OF THE MOST INTRIGUING BOOKS I HAVE READ.
Kary has done it again. With his new book Elixir project. From intriguing questions I have asked myself about technology being hacked to being personally hacked myself Kary bring a version of that reality to life in these pages. The characters are the perfect age to allow for all of the drama, suspense and excitement in this book. I am having a great time listening on Audible and reading the Elixir Project. Ty Kary for another successful book!!!!!

O outstanding combination of life coaching and near future thriller
Combining life coaching with a young adult near future thriller seems like an unlikely combination. I read almost all of nonfiction and occasionally engage in fictional movies or books. Cari pulled it off even for nonfiction folks like myself. This unlikely combination works. Looking forward to the next part of this Series.

Unlike nothing else I have experienced
What did you love best about Elixir Project?
That the addition of audio to the book lifts the story to another level of enjoyment.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Elixir Project?
Tilda graphically describing how her son was tortured and eventually killed in front of her.
Which scene was your favorite?
The naming ceremony as each cleric dies to their given name to instead take up their chosen name for the sake of the world.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No the first time I wanted to let the experience linger. The next time I may.
Any additional comments?
The moment I heard this book was going to be available as an audiobook I knew I had to have it. I am so grateful I do.

Awesome Naration...Super Cool Story
What made the experience of listening to Elixir Project the most enjoyable?
There are a lot of characters, but this narrator really pulls it off.
What other book might you compare Elixir Project to and why?
The Hunger Games or Divergent. Young adult, teen fiction. Thriller from start to finish with lots of unexpected twists that keep you wanting more.
What does Heather Masters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Hearing the voices of all the different characters made this easier to follow than reading it. The pace of the reading is a little slower than I'm used to when listening to non-fiction, but I'm glad because the plot is complex and I like the extra time to let it sync in since I listen while driving.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Just the possibility that what SWARM is doing through the dark net could become a reality someday makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
Any additional comments?
I not really a fiction person because plots can become too complex and often the story line gets a little too slow for me...there is nothing slow about Elixer Project. I found myself upset every time I got to my destination and had turn it off and quit listening. I also love that there isn't any fowl language. A big thank you to the author for that.
