Publisher's summary

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Embraced at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Embrace. The story conveys all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

PLEASE NOTE: This is true "sweet with heat", and Jana and Hunter's story begins with a large dose of steam. It is the steamiest in the series and remains true to the characters' personalities.

After working hard all day creating his beautiful metal sculptures, Hunter Lacroux likes to unwind with a hot babe - or two. But after spending a handful of nights with smart, sassy, and beautiful Jana Garner, the woman who challenges everything he does and says, Hunter wants more.

As a dancer, boxer, actress, and waitress, Jana is tough, organized, and as dedicated as she is committed. She has to be to maintain her crazy schedule. But when it comes to men, Jana's had a string of bad relationships, and there's only one thing she'll commit to - not committing.

Passion ignites every time Jana and Hunter are together, but the closer Hunter gets, the faster Jana runs. When Hunter lays on the charm, Jana throws out a challenge she's sure he can't meet, and Hunter steps up to the plate, forcing her to face her hurtful past or let go of him forever.

...beyond the words and into the feelings ...

Addison Cole tackles some of realities most emotional moments with her own brand of sweetness and common sense. Embraced at Seaside takes aim at conquering fears. Jana looks like she has control of her life, but is unwilling to let her emotions get in the way of real life. Hunter has just right blend of teddy bear and bulldozer to knock her off her game, but can he force her to make room for him in her heart? The words I know by heart, but Mitchell and Arden took me beyond the words and into the feelings that pack an even more powerful punch.

Just the Right Amount of Sweet and Heat

This book definitely has the sweet, as well as the heat. Jana and Hunter are sometimes too much alike. Neither is looking for a relationship, but when they get together sparks fly, in more ways than one. Then, Hunter starts to romance her. . . I loved this book. I really enjoyed reading it, and listening to it. The narrators, Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden really do a fantastic job, bringing a great story by Addison Colr to life in the audiobook. Whether you read it, listen to it, or both, I highly recommend it.

Irresistible relationship

I originally read this story when it was first released in print, but I was so excited to listen to it as well! Jana and Hunter are both independent, passionate people that “don’t do relationships”. Both are very dedicated to their work as well. They get together occasionally but without strings attached. When they are together sparks ignite. As time goes by, it gets harder for these two to not feel attached. Hunter begins to realize he wants more, but will Jana stick around or run? I really enjoyed the interactions between these two characters. It was also great to catch up with the rest of the Seaside gang!

Even better as an audiobook

Hunter is an artist who knows what he wants and his eyes have set on the lovely Jana who is a challenge he is willing to take on. Jana is not much for committing after plenty of bad relationships and wants thing uncomplicated.

I remember enjoying this book last time so decided to pick it up again as an audiobook and I will say I prefer this format much better. I tend to be all over the place when it comes to just straight up reading a book but was able to focus more and appreciate the book even more. There was even some details that I seemed to have missed the last time or maybe just forgot and was able to get more out of the audiobook. Highly recommend!

Previous review :
I loved this book. I loved getting to know these characters with their dual POV, their back stories and the reasoning behind why they made certain choices. I loved that Hunter was willing to take on Janas challenge and did what he had to do. I loved that Jana was a pretty well meaning type that was pretty strong and independent when she needed to be and she was quite stubborn. I loved seeing their connection between the two go. I loved getting to hear bits a pieces of the previous characters and how they were so supportive when it came to Jana helping her out and really giving her the push she needed to do more when it came to career wise when it seemed like she was stuck where she was at. Its would be hard to describe in detail what I did love about this book but trust me when I say your going to really enjoy this sweet but steamy clean romance.

I felt like I eavesdropped on Hunter and Jana

Hunter Lacroux and Jana Garner have intense chemistry. They hooked up a few times but neither has spoken about it. But as they continue to be with each other Hunter wants more. He wants to date Jana. But does Jana want a relationship? They are both independent and headstrong people. Their paths seem to cross frequently as they share a circle of friends. Jana is plotting the course of her life with help from her friends at Seaside. Hunter is so supportive but something is holding Jana back. Addison Cole tells this delightful story that exudes passion without being graphic. This audiobook was very pleasant to listen to with two narrators, Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden. The narration made me feel as though I was eavesdropping while following Jana and Hunter as they discovered their true feelings. I loved Embraced at Seaside.

I loved watching a player turn into a romantic!

Hunter and Jana are a perfect match as a hookup but when Hunter decides he wants more, he has his work cut out for him. Jana does not understand why Hunter wants to potentially ruin the great deal they have going. This makes for a very entertaining challenge when Hunter tries to woo Jana with the romance she claims she wants. This series is fantastic and this new book did not let me down. I can't wait for the next one.

I have read the book as well as listened to the audiobook. The narrators, Maxine Mitchell & Joe Arden did an awesome job bringing the story to life. Their voice inflections were amazing. I had no problem differentiating each character even though there were so many different people to voice.

Jana and Hunter, Five Huge Stars!

Jana and Hunters relationship started out as something that was SUPPOSED to be light and easy and shifted into something more than that. But of course we all know that Addison Cole has the innate ability to make sure you’re addicted from the get go with characters that are relatable and people you want to be a part of your life.

The audible version of this book was great! Maxine and Joe are two narrators that I could listen to over and over again. Dual narration really adds so much to the story because nothing beats a male voice. Swoon. I drive quite a bit and Addisons stories make the trips even more enjoyable.

new duo narration for this series

Audio makes this a worthy afternoon listen while driving down the road, cleaning house, lounging by the pool, or just doing mindless work. The ebb and flow of the dual narration makes for an engaging sweet romance. You get all the words brought to life and made more vivid in your mind. I am a huge fan of audio books. I love the previous narrator of the series up to this point. I was hesitant to have all that change to a dual narration without her anywhere involved. I was surprised. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden makes for a convincing duo. I did find that I could get lost just as easily in their cadence, pitch and flow. The audio was smooth and flowing. The only issue was at time distinguishing the females was a small challenge and the male laced female voices on occasion. The audio still lived up to making a picture turn in my mind.

The audio allows you to feel the heat and passion even without the explicit comments or descriptives. Listening to Hunter and Jana fall in love was beautiful. Embraced at Seaside was very much beach worthy, fireplace worthy, hot-steamy bubble bath worthy, need for hope worthy read/listen that will send warmth and pleasure racing through you. Addison Cole has taken her works and made the to where they included the reading populations that can do without all the details of the coming together, but still coming together. The story itself stands all on its own

Sweet with Heat

I am an audiobook junkie. I listen when I work out, when I drive, when I cook, and well…pretty much anytime I can. I’ve always listened to books with only one narrator but Embraced at Seaside is told by two wonderful narrators. It threw me for a loop at the beginning but I quickly embraced the changes in voices and realized that it brought so much to the story. I love that Maxine Mitchell read Jana’s story while Joe Arden told Hunter’s story. They mixed together perfectly, bringing the love, romance, and friendships of Seaside to life.

Let me introduce you to Hunter Lacroux. He is a player who doesn’t want a relationship. Until he hooks up with Jana one too many times and feelings start to change. Then Jana gives him a challenge that he can’t walk away from. I LOVE the romance. I LOVE the sunrises, sunsets, dinners, and everything else that comes with romance. Addison Cole is so talented in writing these romantic, sweet, and little steamy scenes.

Addison Cole is also amazing with her friendships. The Seaside Girls are amazing. They are the best of friends, more like sisters. When push comes to shove these girls will talk about your love life, help you solve the worlds (or Seaside’s) problems, and lift you up when things are tough. These are the type of friends that everyone wants and once you find them you never let go.

I am a fan of the Sweet with Heat series. With each book I get introduced to a new story, I get to catch up with my favorites from other books in this series, and I get to fall for a new book crush. This is a series that I look forward to more from, I get excited when I hear a new book is coming soon, and I devour each book as soon as I get my hands on it.

Pick up your copy. NOW. Meet these amazing Seaside characters and fall in love with these characters.

Jana and Hunter...so deserving of a happy ending

Audio Version...

This was the story of Hunter and Jana. Hunter is an amazingly talented artist who works with his brother making custom metal sculptures. Hunter has always been a player. He’s never been a one woman kind of guy and he doesn’t do relationships. Then there’s Jana. She was hurt by guys she dated when she was younger and has decided that she’s not cut out for relationships. She likes to live life to the fullest. She loves her job as a dance instructor, she enjoys boxing with her brother, and she misses her time at the theater and hopes to get back to it someday. With everything going on in her life, the last thing she has time for is men. But for some reason, she always ends up going home with Hunter. They start off bickering over just about any topic, but end up tearing up the sheets by the end of the night! Over time, Hunter realizes that Jana is different than anyone else he’s ever known and that his feelings for her are more than just friendship. Jana doesn’t make it easy for him though. She’s so worried about getting in a relationship and having it end badly, that she fights Hunter at every turn. But Hunter doesn’t give up easily. He realizes that what they have is worth fighting for.
