Publisher's summary

When disaster strikes his home world of Arra, Eä sets out into the void of space seeking gold - a vital ingredient - in a last-ditch plan to save his planet. Soon he discovers the precious metal on a small, water-rich world that is the third in a modestly-sized solar system.

Mining requires labor, so Eä looks to the planet's most advanced species, a bipedal ape. Through science, genetic manipulation, and breeding, he creates a race capable of retrieving the gold they so desperately need.

Standing against Eä is Morgoth, his half-brother. The cause of the disaster threatening Arra, Morgoth has his own plans for the gold-rich planet - and Eä's new race.

When his laborers begin to chafe under the yokes of slavery, Eä realizes he's created much more than a workforce: he's created a new species as worthy of rights and freedoms as any Arran. This stunning realization changes Eä forever and brings war to a planet that has only ever known peace.

To protect and defend the children he's created, Eä will risk everything. If he fails, two worlds may die. But if he succeeds, he will truly become Enki: Lord of Earth.

Ancient aliens, ancient technology, humanity's creation: compiled for your entertainment.

Adapted mythology into a proper story. The author certainly took some artistic license at some points but the story itself was interesting. All the Sumerian gods are present and brought to life in this narrative. This story has androids, flying saucers, laser weapons and many other interesting technologies. The narrator did an excellent job.

A Masterful Performance

One of my favorites. From what what I can tell this is a pretty accurate representation of the story to the beginning of the events to our story. A wonderful presentation and story!

outstanding

Great story and we'll narrated. As it is based on ancient stories, it makes it enticing to want to believe in it all! Certainly made a believer of me

Brilliant

Sumerian legends are brought to life in the form of a fictional story. Is it fiction, or an account of history? Well done!

this is sooo bad. Run from this book ASAP......

What would have made Enki better?

a reasonable plot......this is horrid

Has Enki turned you off from other books in this genre?

no

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tim Gerard Reynolds?

tim is the best...but he cannot cover up for a story plot......

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

upset that I was not allowed to return this book. This is one of the reason I use Audible, but I was not allowed to return this trash !

Historical fiction?

Narrator did a great job w all the characters. The story roughly follows what investigative writers are finding in ancient clay tablets, gospel of Enoch et.al. Brought it to life to make the story memorable. If you like this check out Billy Carson and Matt LaCroix who is now w Goiya. At the end the statement regarding church and kings have hidden our real history out of greed for money and or power or because they don't think the masses can handle it so...drip drip drip, we slowly get this info. Real? you decide

A fascinating telling of the Sumerian creation.

A great read for anyone interested in creation myths and hidden knowledge. At times funny.

Disappointing

A father who is a dolt, two brothers at war, one brother does whatever he wants, the other one does nothing except complain. Worm holes, flying JetSki’s, laser death rays, oh, and a little bit of magic thrown in.
