About this listen

In a Dark World, One Man is Called by God: Enoch

Holy Man. Wise Sage. Giant Killer.

Before Noah, before the Flood, the world is wicked beyond imagination.

Fallen angels called Watchers rule as gods and breed evil offspring called Nephilim giants.

But one man stands out from the rest: Enoch, he who walks with God, but also loves his wife and family with all his heart.

Then God gives Enoch a frightening duty: He and his family must become giant killers.

But those very monsters are now coming after them.

And they’re not stopping - until they push their way back to Eden.

This second novel in the saga Chronicles of the Nephilim is a prequel to Noah Primeval that tells the original story of the fallen angel Watchers from heaven and the rise of the Nephilim giants of Genesis 6.

Heart-pounding, spiritual warfare, action-adventure and romance by respected Christian and Biblical fiction best-selling author Brian Godawa.

Unrivaled in Nearly Every Way!

This book caught me off guard with its creativity and depth. Furthermore, that Godawa was able to manage this while somehow preserving the integrity of the Bible is absolutely astounding.

On a side note, I got a chuckle out of the way that Godawa inserted current event related themes into this ancient story - on the one hand these references seemed so random...Yet, tying them to the older narrative provided an added level of context that helps bring clarity to some of the things that we see going on in the world today.

Highly satisfied with this book, will definitely be looking forward to more from Godawa!

All the Bible references and the Greek and Hebrew references.

These are Outstanding books. The details are wonderfully depicted by an Extremely talented Author. I hope they make movies of all 4 books.

basis is great

started off slow but if you can stay with it and the mixture of current talk and loose based biblical story its very good and you will see relations of the store written years ago with current issues

This was pleasantly surprising

I was really surprised how good the author is at reading his own work! Audiobooks are very hard to get into because it takes a very good reader with the right tones and reflections to bring a story alive. Alot of readers can't do this and Brian blew me away so my suggestion is download this its worth it. What I decided to do with this story is start the Enoch book first then get the other ones as well as these new ones like Moses and Jezebel I am going to listen to it all in order my ocd won't allow me to do it in any other way. I am so happy I decided to give this a second go Brian is a wonderful author and these stories are amazing. Give it a shot it's worth it for the appendices alone!

Appendix

I really liked the way he explained where he got some of his extra biblical content.

Warning: If not open minded, this is not for you!

Warning: If you are not open minded, then this book is not for you. Brian Godawa takes minor and major characters from the Bible and embellishes the story and characters into a plausible tale. All I can say is, well, it could have happened that way. I am interested in seeing where it goes next.
