Everyone needs help occasionally - even supers with amazing powers - and Jim (aka Kid Sensation) is no exception. Having previously received aid from a young psychic named Rudi, Jim feels obligated to return to the favor and rescue her from the federal facility where she's being held.

Extraction by Kevin Hardman and narrated by Mikael Naramore is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary. This is a short book but a necessary one because Kid Sensation made a promise to help rescue a 10 year old psychic and her brother from evil supers. This is that story. Very creative and action packed as all his wonderful Kid Sensation books are! Love all the well developed characters and world settings in these books! Amazing!
Mikael Naramore is an excellent narrator and performs the voices flawlessly!

In this book, Kevin Hardman concludes a story that he introduced in a previous book (Mutation - Kid Sensation #2) which had yet to be resolved. This entertaining superhero story has plenty of action, enjoyable characters and an exciting plot. Mikael Naramore's narration does a terrific job of bringing the characters to life. I was provided a free review copy of this audio book and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Extraction is a great short story in the kid sensation series. It tidied up a loose end in relation to perifery characters from the second book and also managed to leave a rather interesting answered question too (damn it). Love the narrator, love the vivid descriptive writing, all and all a very enjoyable listen.

Extraction is an excellent little novella set in the Kid Sensation universe, featuring the main hero of the series. I enjoyed this book and the narrator did an excellent job adding to the experience.

It gives us a nice short story to tide us over between books 2 and 3, features some of our favorite characters - Jim, Electra, and Smokie. It is a good read, even if you read it after having read book 3.

Naramore is a great narrator and Hardman knows how to tell a great kids story.

Given this is my first introduction this series, I really enjoyed it! Short, but I thought it was very well-written and narrated, and now I want to go back and listen to/read the others in the series! A lot of fast-paced fun and angst, and it was a delight getting to know the characters and get a glimpse into this world. I just may be hooked! :)

This was a fun, short superhero story. Overall I enjoyed it. The narration was good, the story and characters interesting. The big problem for me was that I haven't read any of the preceding books, and so there were a number of references to earlier events and characters that I had no point of reference for. Despite that I was able to appreciate and enjoy 'Extraction' on its own merits. Without knowing more about the character, Kid Sensation seems a bit overpowered. Although the circumstances in 'Extraction' required him to hold back, knowing that he was holding back undermined the sense of danger a bit. Based on this story alone, I am certainly interested in checking out the other main books.

As for narration, Mikael Naramore does a fine job, and he seems well suited to the role.

Well-written super-hero sci-fic/suspense, with well-developed characters. Set between Mutation (Book #2) & Infiltration (Book #3). I’ll be reading more in this series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
