I need a 3rd book!

I already want to listen to this book again! I listened to the first book twice in a row, I think that will be the case with this book as well. The story is so captivating, and you really feel a connection with the characters. I ended up going to bed very late most nights because I couldn't stop listening to this book! There where moments the book felt like a piece of eternity, transporting you into wonder and merriment.

Beyond words

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book, its fantastic! And the voice work is amazing!

This is a laid back story of people throw into a magical world that isn't at all the "fantasy" world they read of in books but a certain innkeeper helps everyone around her see just how magical the world can truly be.

This is a long and superb book, it was originally written as a webserial and it shows a little in the formatting on occasion, mostly with some chapters jumping back in time to show events from a different perspective but it doesn't detract from the story at all.

I can't wait for volume 3 ( I mean I'll have to since it's even longer than this book, so it takes time to record)

Absolutely Amazing.

Now that this book has concluded, I am sad because I have to wait God know how long I will be waiting for the next one. I was immersed completely and I enjoyed every second. WI2 was heart breaking, heart warming ,and light-hearted. It was heart thumping, heart pumping, heart racing, heart melting and heart stopping. The cast of characters were absolutely fantastic. Just about every type of personality you or I may have seen or encountered was covered. This book was so flawlessly executed that I find myself look fo thing to complain about now its over. I want to thank PA for selecting AP to lead us on this Epic journey she is superb! I felt like I was at a blockbuster movie. There was so much crazy action scenes that kept me at the edge of my seat .I was completely entertained and Inspired. I need more so hurry up with WI3.

Better then the first book!

overall a great book, a lot of people got to the very small political section and lost it but honestly it's such a small part and If you let that take you out of the book then that's on you. overall the book is great and holds your interest very well! can't wait for the third book!

I can't get enough of this series!!!

A few things:

1) I am in love with this series and hope volume 3 comes to audio soon!!! It's usually difficult to keep my attention and I switch between books often, yet I CAN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. All 60 hours, I just listen to straight through. I finish these books in less than a week. I stay up late because I just can't stop listening!! The story is great, but what really sets it apart is the narration. If I could give the narrator 10 stars I would! Absolutely captivating! This book is apparently a web series available for free online, but the Narrator is who brings this story to life! Especially 60 hours for 1 credit?? What a bargain!

2) There are a few reviews about this book being political?? Are these reviewers serious?? Of the OVER 60 HOURS of book, "politics" is mentioned twice, and only as a point of reference for the time frame that some of the characters left their world behind. It just mentions some memorable things from the election, offers some characters thoughts that are IN LINE with the characters personalities themselves, and is not in any way what I would describe as "political". The first time the 2016 election is mentioned as a TIME OF REFERENCE is in the very first chapter, when the people from "our world" are talking for the first time and trying to establish a time line. So maybe because it's mentioned in the first chapter some people ASSUME it's a theme of the book? IDK, but these people must not have actually listened longer than the first chapter before rating this book, because if they did they would know that it's not mentioned again until about 10 HOURS into the book later, and again only as a frame of reference to time, and then never mentioned again for the remaining 50 HOURS of book.

3) I read an other reviewer saying this is the perfect example of what people mean when they say reading this book is like curling up with a cozy blanket and warm cup of tea! THIS book is what is meant by that expression. It's not deeply philosophical, yet it made me both cry and laugh out loud!

Looking forward to future Wandering Inn books being turned into audio by the same narrator!!! Also, with the unique characters and gradual world building, this would make an awesome TV show!

Great story. But.....

I have enjoyed the first book in this series immensely. I also enjoyed the story in this book also. ...I enjoyed the STORY.... For some reason, the author thought it necessary to include a very large section of rhetoric on real life politics and her apparent dislike of Donald Trump. The author spent a Huge amount of time to express her feelings on the former president that really did not fit into the story well. It felt very out of place. Not to mention, as I listen to this almost 2 years after he is out of office, it really dates a book that would have otherwise been timeless. That was disappointing.
Also, there was a point in the book where the timeline got very confused. One character, Torin, (no real spoiler here...) was missing. During this part of the story, one minute, he is missing, the next, he is standing in the Inn. Then, he is missing again. Then he's not... If flipped back and forth like there was some major editing errors that got cut and paste and never fixed. It didn't really have a huge impact on the story, Just confusing and distracting.
That being said, and out of the way, the rest of the book was very good. I do enjoy the depth of the characters and the details that were put into the surroundings that really put you into the setting. That was very well written. I am also looking forward to the next book... which I have already purchased. But, if the author chooses to put in more political rhetoric as in this book, I probably won't purchase another one.

kinda woke

I like the overall story, but the anti white racism from the Japanese American girl, and the Trump bashing sessions get annoying pretty fast. it's as if alienating your characters to a large part of your potential audience doesn't matter as long as you up your social credit score. I like the overall story, but this takes me out quickly because there is no nuance in it, or comparison to why Hillary should have won.

Wonderful Performance

One speaker amazingly performs tens of voices in distinct differences. The story is captivating and even trivial information comes back around to click with events. Im not a gamer. But if you enjoy an action packed fantasy, do yourself a favor and start from Volume I.
