Publisher's summary

When a Shaw falls in love, win or lose, it's forever!

Nathaniel Shaw's first assignment on his own, to prove his leadership skills, was frustrating him at every turn. No matter the cost, he had to make this job a successful one. He could not return to Ellis Manor as a failure.

As Nate battles the odds stacked against him, to turn Nettlesville into a thriving seaside port village, his heart falls for the mysterious young woman in his work crew.

As he unravels the secrets around her, Nate will face the biggest battle of his life. Unlike his older brothers, Nate is not a knight. He has much to learn about sword fighting. Will his greatest stand for Nettlesville cost him everything? Will he lose the village, the woman he loves, and even his own life to his family's long-time enemy?

Olivia did not realize that being a part of this work crew would be as dangerous as it was, until it was too late. She struggled to keep her identity hidden from everyone, especially her work crew leader, Nathaniel Shaw.

Being near Nate defied everything her family had taught her. It had been drilled into her since childhood that the Shaw family was the enemy. She soon learns that the quiet Nate Shaw had a helpless romantic side. All Shaw men were dangerous, but this side of Nate made him the most dangerous of them all.

Could she dare to take a stand and fight against her own brother? Could she tell her brother, and shout to the world, that she had fallen for her enemy?

Great story

Debbie Hyde created a wonderful story. I love the sword fighting heroine and strong loving hero. The whole For the Love of a Shaw series is worth reading again and again. Maggie Thompson did a great job narrating this story.

great story and narration

not only do you have a love story of enemies you may just have attempted murder, sword fights, pirates among many other things. wonderful characters more of the Shaws and the little island town they seems to bring them together. If you enjoy audio books while you drive, clean, cook etc grab the 1st two books in this series. If you'd rather read grab the Kindle version. Debbie takes you on a journey back to the 1700s a time when you can't just pick up a phone and call on someone or get into a car and drive. To the days of Knights and Kings, not wanting to spoil this read for you.
