Publisher's summary

An accidental journey through a magic mirror. A portal to an enchanted land. A mysterious family she never knew she had. Hayden's life is upended with the wonder of Destiny Falls. But it is tainted by the danger that brought her here and that threatens her newfound family. Can Hayden and her sassy sidekick remove the threat, so that she can begin her magical new life in this captivating world?

When Hayden was a child, she lost her cat. Adults told her the cat ran away, but she knew the truth. The mirror had taken her. She knew because the mirror gave her a glimpse of an alternate world and had nearly pulled her in, so she was certain the cat had suffered that fate. Twenty years later, Hayden discovers the secret of the mirror when she is thrust into it. She learns of an enchanted world she never knew existed, and a family she never knew she had. But danger brought her here, and it followed her.

Now, Hayden is on a mission to remove the threat, so that she can begin her magical, meaningful new life in this enchanted world.

Fun series

This is a fun story and narrator did an excellent rendition for the listener.
I will be looking for more stories by this narrator.

Hayden Caldwell is a business partner with her best friend since college, Luna Caputo, whose large family took her in as one of their own.

Hayden is targeted by an unknown man and finally pushed into a construction hole, that was actually a portal into another world that closely parallels and is connected to hers. It's actually a country that few know about and even fewer can move between one area to the other.
Hayden gets to meet her brother and father who were forcibly taken by her grandparents so her father could take his place in the family business. This occurred on the day that Hayden was born, and her mother also left her shortly thereafter to let her grandmother and great grandmother raise her.

When Hayden's family members start getting attacked, Hayden is determined to find who is after them, and why they are being targeted.

Destiny Falls is a magical land that changes as needed to protect its inhabitants.
That may be a building moving from one spot to another, or even an entire park moving to a different location.

This was a well written story with developed characters, a bit of humor, and several surprises.

Delightful, magical, and whimsical.

I listened to the audio version of Falling into Magic (Destiny Falls mystery & Magic #1) by Elizabeth Pantley. The reader was able to portray the fun and excitement of the book. Her character voices worked well with the story. She knew exactly how to portray the relationship between Hayden and her cat which was a main focus in this book.

The book had a bit of everything; mystery, romance, and a magical, alternate world. The main character, Hayden, and her cat were a joy to read. The author told a great story and it was written quite well. She gave the reader several options for deciding who could be the killer, and not a one I picked, was it.

It was a true joy listening to this book. I loved how the author ended the book and am eagerly looking forward to book 2.

My review is voluntary and all comments and opinions are my own.

New author and series to me. Story was well written and kept you entertained til the end. Narrator did a great job with the different voices.

OMG! Fantastic!

I loved my visit to Destiny Falls. I felt like I was hiking alongside Hayden. What a treat. If you love a sassy, smack talking cat, a witch with a penchant for the latest technical gadgetry and a twist to die for, this book is for you! Writing and narration are perfect. Oh, and did I mention that cat? Ah-mazing!

Entertaining mystery

Growing up Hayden knew there was something strange about mirrors. As a child she had a kitten that disappeared seemly without a trace. Hayden was convinced that the mirror took it. As a adult after accidentally falling through a portal she knew her suspicions were true. Hayden not only found out what happened to be long lost childhood kitten but her long lost father and brother. Along with her father and brother, she also found a family she never knew she had. However it appears that someone was targeting Hayden and her newly found family. Can she find out who they are and what they want before it’s to late?

This is an entertaining story. The characters are interesting and relatable. Although you have to suspend a bit of reality as far as Hayden communication with her cat, I believe this is really how some cats personalities are in real life, over the top and self absorbed to an extent but also lovable. The mystery of who is a threat to the family is well written with plenty of red herrings to keep you guessing.

I listened to the audio version of the book. The narrator does a wonderful job during the characters and the story to life. You know exactly which characters is speaking and what emotions they are feeling.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.

Everything about this first book in the series pulled me right in to the story, from the characters to the familiars to the magical town. Can’t wait to listen to book two.

Magical, gorgeous, mysterious…and cats!!

Elizabeth Pantley creates the world of Destiny Falls so wonderfully, I felt she must have lived there!! Magic and mystery, beauty and a little romance, an amazing home and town is where she transports us!! She expertly and beautifully describes all the wonder and adventure, as well as develops some incredible characters, so real that I feel like I have been there, met them, and traveled along! And there’s the cats! Clever, beautiful, and sometimes bossy, Hayden’s precious cat is along for the experience, discovers new cat pals, and shares them with Hayden and with us! When I first read the print book, I spent nearly all of s few full days because I couldn’t put it down, and today I have listened almost every minute, carrying Hayden along around the house. Of course, like any good mystery, the story ends by NOT ending, leaving us with enough unanswered questions and new information to keep us wanting the next book to find out more!
I must say that Emily Goss, who read the book, was excellent and a bit magical! She skillfully read each character with their own unique voice, in the tone coveting the right emotion for whatever action was happening! Thanks to her reading, I feel like I know so much more new that I missed in reading, and remember many details. Thank you to both of you! Am joyfully awaiting my next adventure!
