Richard Ramsey is the guitarist for the world’s hottest new band.
Gifted. Charismatic. Hot as sin.
Lend your ear, and he’ll steal your heart.
Nah, you can’t have his, considering he left it in his hometown years ago.
He knows better than going back. But it’s his younger sister’s wedding, and there’s no way he can say no to that.
He should have known she would be there, invading his senses and making him thirst and hunger for what he wants most.
Violet Marin hates him for what he’s done. He left her empty-handed with their wreckage strewn all around. She’s picked up the pieces and is living her life the best way that she can.
But their connection is fierce.
Their attraction unending.
It only takes one glance for their worlds to collide.
One touch to set them on fire.
But she doesn’t know the dark secrets he keeps. If he had understood the true price of fame, he would have known he’d sold his soul and this debt is something he cannot repay.
Letting her go is impossible, but will loving her cost it all?

This book was soooo much better than the last one in the series. The narrators were less twangy and their voice fit better this time. The story it’s self was really good. I didn’t like “Richard” in the last book at all but this one explains why he is how he is and I absolutely love Daisy and the way she talks is sooo cute. Some of the reviews I read about staying away from love and stuff I found unfounded as well. He did stay away but it wasn’t for so whiney stupid reason, he was righting a true wrong and was trying to keep her safe and based off all that happened when he did get close it seams he was very right to stay away.
Over all I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one.
This one was a good book!

Great Story!

I love how this series interconnects with the plot of the bleeding stars series. Glad I read those first. While it isn’t absolutely necessary to read in order, I believe the storyline ties together having the details of those characters even if they are villains.
Oh what a web we weave

Andi and Zachary are such magic with their narration of these characters - and any character, honestly - they couldn't have been voiced by any other narrators.
My only negative on A.L. Jackson's style would be all the energy lashing, crashing, washing, sizzling, etc. descriptors that she uses. I feel like it is almost overdone when every scene between her hero's and heroine's come with these descriptions. I think that every once in a while she could try describing the connection between her characters a little differently or simply trust that the reader will know they're there after the first few mentions of them. It's also a little strange for the flashback chapters to be in third-person POV when the majority of the story is in first-person. I would think it might be to give the reader/listener some separation from the direct feelings of the characters, but she gives us those in the third-party portions, too, so I'm not sure why she switches POV's. These are only minor detriments to her work, and wouldn't deter me from listening to them, only that I'm noticing the themes more having listened to several of her books.
I can't wait to hear Reese's story and wonder if he'll end up with Mel and what demons he's covering with his devil-may-care attitude.
Rollercoaster of emotion

That said, it really was a sweet love story and I was surprised with the different plot twists. It was hard to put it down!
Andi and Zachary’s narration was amazing! They really put so much feeling into the story and it really came to life. They both have such great little kid voices and Andi’s southern accent is so sweet. A definite 5 star performance!
All the Feels, but a little winded.
