Publisher's summary

Emma, older sister of renowned rock star Jake McKallister, has crafted a quiet existence for herself. Fiercely independent, scorned at work, and indifferent to relationships, she's spent the past decade trying to move on from the crime that shook her family to the core. Living by a promise she made to herself as a distraught 16-year-old, Emma has sworn off marriage and children...until a chance encounter with a scruffy hitchhiker throws her orderly world into chaos.

A wild child raised in mayhem by a teenage mother, fearless Finn Perry cruises through life as the perennial nice guy. Now a struggling actor, he supports himself by performing daredevil stunts. At a crossroads in his life, one thing has always remained constant in his world: Finn's desire to start the family he never had. The mystery woman who rescues him from the side of the road sure seems like the perfect person for the job.

But unfinished business from Emma's troubled past looms heavy, threatening to destroy the fledging love she's found with the only man to ever jump-start her wounded heart.

INDIANA JONES AND EMMA!!! LOVED IT!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Fiercely Emma the most enjoyable?

It was great...all of it...story, narration...ALL OF IT!!! Loved it!! I need more!!

What other book might you compare Fiercely Emma to and why?

I dont want to compare it!

Have you listened to any of Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yep both...and they were great as always!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did...I binged all of it....all 10 in a half hours of it....and I loved it!!

Any additional comments?

I didnt know if I was going to like Emma at first....she was quirky and a little judgy...but as you get to know her, you like her..she was so affected by Jakes kidnapping.I cried and cried....what happened to Jake was awful....Emma had to shoulder a lot of the responsibility during this hard time, and it hurt her....Finn had it hard too..his mother is awful...Finn and Emma meet in a kismet way and they were just meant to be...I am so glad they worked it out...and we get more of Jakes story...and Kyles...I love this series...I hope there is more, because I cant wait to see what comes next...I would really like to hear Moms story....

So Intense And So Good!!!

Whether or not you’ve read CAKE, this story of Emma and Finn is terrific. Filled with emotion, love, laughter and sadness, it’s easy to listen to as Andi Arndt is always good and Zachary Webber is, as always, fabulous.

A Winner!

The entire CAKE series has been so enjoyable. The reader falls in love with the characters, going from the valley to the mountaintop. You will laugh out loud and want to cry never wanting the story to end. I hope that the series continues and follows the other family members and updates us on the lives of the those featured in other books of the series. GREAT job!!!!

Enjoyable

I did like this book, only because it involved the McAllister family. Otherwise I am not sure I would have continued listening. It was not as entertaining as the first two.

I Laughed Out Loud

I don't know if this is my favorite of the series, because they are all so damn good, but it definitely had me the most actively entertained.

Emma's Story is full of humor and my favorite kind of attraction. This would definitely classify as a romcom in book form I think. Emma and Fin are so perfect for each other and you will find yourself rooting for them from the start.

I will say that I love the way the author chose to tell the story in two parts. We finally get to see, from a first hand perspective, exactly what went on when Jake was taken all those years ago. I will say, however, that I wasn't into the flashbacks in the beginning. But as they progressed, I I fell further and further into them. I'd say the only reason I wasn't a fan in the beginning was because I didn't like the interruption to the story of the characters I was becoming entranced in. In the end, I was happy with the choices the author made.

This is definitely a must read.
It is one of those books you will find yourself wishing it was possible to go back and read it again for the first time.

Fiercely Emma

This book had it all! It was funny, sad, and you never knew quite what was going to happen. The narrators also did a great job. Some of the narrators have voices that are a little annoying. I will definitely listen to this book again!

Finding Love!

What made the experience of listening to Fiercely Emma the most enjoyable?

Loved hearing how Emma over came all of her obsticals in life

What does Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These are two of my favorite narrators they are great at portraying the story with all the emotions the author gives the chararters

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but because of the length and my time constraints couldn't.

Any additional comments?

The terrible tragedy that happen to the family effect everyone differently. Loved Emma story and seeing her find love after not wanting it! This family has grown to be a favorite I can wait to see what becomes of all of them. Emma and Fin's HEA is one that shows that you can't fight love when you find it on the side of the road.

Found my new favorite author

Hilariously entertaining!! I loved this series so much and am so eager for more books! The author did a fabulous job of balancing steamy romance with a tantalizing plot. That is hard to find! I was hanging on every word of each story and loved their fight for peace after a horrible childhood event. I laughed so hard during this series and never wanted it to end. And the narration was great, and never annoying!
