When sparks fly between a tenacious talent agent and a sharp-witted lawyer, a heated rivalry transforms into an irresistible attraction in this sizzling enemies-to-lovers sapphic romance.
Lola Barros is a rising talent agent burning with ambition in Miami's glitzy entertainment world. Carmen Vargas is a dedicated lawyer poised to conquer the legal field, anchored by her family's prestigious firm. Their shared high-rise is the only thing these two powerhouses have in common—until a trivial parking mishap snowballs into a full-blown feud.
Facing eviction from their quirky billionaire landlord, Lola and Carmen are thrust into unconventional anger management sessions led by the landlord's eccentric spiritual guide. Amidst a storm of unexpected encounters, their fiery rivalry gives way to smoldering desire.
But yielding to desire isn't straightforward. Between the shadows of demanding careers and familial expectations, their love is tested. Can Lola and Carmen find a balance between ambition and affection?
Fighting for Control delves deep into the hearts of two fierce women, exploring the electric tension when an unstoppable force meets an immovable heart. It is the second book in the Dominion series, a steamy, sapphic series set in a Miami talent agency and centered on strong women and the ladies who can't resist them.

Lola and Carmen as enemies - 💥🔥💥🔥
Lola and Carmen as lovers -💥🔥💥🔥
In all honesty, the animosity between the two made it hard to see them end up together in the beginning. But this is J.J. Arias and I trust her process... and it did not let me down! The way they slowly let go of things and stopped fighting each other... they each became exactly what the other needed. Such a good story!!

Lola, although annoying at first, grew on me as I came to understand why she is the way she is and how she uses her aloof, angry persona as an armor of protection. Witnessing Carmen thaw the ice was satisfying.
I’m diving right into book 3!
Loved it!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS

main characters stopped antagonizing each other which made the underlying sexual tension end too soon. Things got boring about halfway through bc all of the drama ended. For ex, how realistic is it for a womanizing rock star to change her spots so rapidly? How about in response to being caught by the paps philandering, Adriana respond by hooking up w/ a man? If you want to stick a dagger into the heart of a lesbian that screws you over, do that. As for Lola & Carmen, how did they end up having sex in a car during a Christmas party? They may have been drunk, but they had to have had some kind of interaction prior to acting on their sexual attraction. Again, it would have been cool if both of them had had male dates to ditch for awhile while they acted on their unbridled lust for each other. Maybe the two guys knew each other & started talking about sports and the women excused themselves ostensibly to mingle, lol. I've gotten addicted to Thai GLs & my favorite is called GAP: The Series. Never have I seen more chemistry between two people in all of the years that I've been watching Sapphic & non Sapphic fare. The series was 12 episodes, and boy did they drag out everything. They didn't even start having sex until ep 8. By then international fans were beside themselves w/ anticipation. The actresses have literally become a "brand" in that part of the wotld bc their performances completely blurred the line between acting & reality. (I can't imagine two actresses ending up on Vogue, Elle, Harper's et al as a result of playing gay in the US). But the point is that the course of their relationship was so tortured that not watching was not an option.
The initial hostility.
