Publisher's summary

A murder investigation draws firebrand attorney Samantha Brinkman into her boyfriend's past in this novel of high-risk suspense by bestselling author Marcia Clark.

When it comes to relationships and self-preservation, defense attorney Samantha Brinkman has always been cut and run. But it's different with her new lover, Niko, an ambitious and globally famous entrepreneur. Sam is putting her faith in him. She has to. He's also her new client - a suspect in the murder of an investor whose shady dealings turned Niko's good life upside down.

He had the motive: revenge. As did many others who banked a fortune on the wrong man. That’s a point in Niko's favor. So is his alibi for the day of the slaying. Until that alibi mysteriously disappears. As Sam's feverish search for another viable killer begins, the investigation only leads deeper into Niko's past and its secrets.

From the darkest suspicions to final judgment, fighting for Niko is Sam's job. To do it, she must risk everything on a man who could make all her worst fears come true.

Marcia Marcia Marcia

What a read. I must say lawyers make the best authors.
Who best to weave a murder mystery than a prosecuting attorney. If you thought she presented an excellent case during the OJ case she doubled down here. Unfortunately L.A.P.D’s shenanigans up ended her case . Here she shows how you get away with murder.
Every book I’ve read by her leaves me satisfied. When you she her name as author you’re guaranteed a great read!

Samantha Serves Justice

I read this book in record time. Could not quit thinking about it so just spent time reading and listening until the end. I hope it is not the end of the series because Samantha is a defense attorney who knows how justice isn’t always fair. Sometimes, it needs a nudge. This book demonstrated how patience can be rewarding. It might have spent a bit too much driving around and talking but it was all good. The 1st person narrative adds to the reader’s understanding of what Samantha goes through with her actions. Great series but then Marcia Clark should know how the justice system does and does not work. Sometimes it needs a nudge to move it in the right direction. I read and listened. Angela Dawes is a great narrator and she makes the characters live. Hope there is a Book 5.

Revenge is sweet for Sam!

FINAL JUDGMENT is Book 4 in Marcia Clark's Samantha (Sam) Brinkman series. This novel is about sweet revenge for Samantha. The editor's summary sets up the plot perfectly. The narration by Angela Dawe is pretty good.

Failed To Commit

As a Fan of Narrator Ms Dawe, I found Ms Clark’s books, of which I own all. Do not miss this series including book #1 from another narrator, it is worth a second listen. I really enjoyed Ms LaVoy narrations of the Rachel Knight series, but start with this series first as Ms Clark really got her rhythm with this one. Ms Clark makes each scene intriguing so you do not want to stop listening. The publishers summery is spot on so No need to add to it. I do use the 1.2 speed to match the adventure. Give it a try. This story is so current, as someone you may know or heard of, has gone through some of this experience. I know I have!!
Ms Clark’s wit, multiple mysteries within the adventure, and ability to give you a wonderful view of the surrounding areas of downtown and Hollywood via the restaurants featured brings flavor to this series and this story.
Ms Dawe captures all the repeat characters of this series delightfully. With each book including this one she makes you feel right there in the room, car or doing field work. I love her male voices the best, hence becoming a fan. Her range of accents is phenomenal, my favorite one is her Scotts brogue in romance mystery genre.

One of my favorite series

I sure hope there is another book. but this one appeared to wrap up the previous three or four . I think this should be considered as a television series with each book representing a season period characters are great love the storyline. check it out.

Lacked Her usual spark

Of all the Samantha Brinkman novels this one is my least favorite. The author spent a lot of time setting up the background of the relationships of the characters which wasn't really necessary and seemed like filler. Usually, Sam is edgy and always on the brink of disaster. In this book, her car isn't a problem, the mob isn't a problem, her father isn't much of a player, and her other cases don't cause a lot of stress. Her main problem seems to be "boyfriend" trouble! She forgets that she's a cut-throat lawyer and is more of a whiny insecure girlfriend. I did like the rap-up of the series, though.

Final Judgment: Samantha Brinkman, Book 4

This was book 4, in a series of 4. It held my attention and just as good as all the others. I can't wait to listen to all of Marcia Clark's books. If you enjoy courtroom drama, like John Grisham books, you'll like Marcia Clark's books.
