Publisher's summary
After a devastating series of personal losses, Larry Randolph finally had things under control. Then one morning while praying, he felt God speak two simple words to his heart: "Therapy dogs."
There was only one problem. Larry didn't have a dog, and hadn't since the loss of his beloved basset hound, Gus. Why would God say that? Could Larry even open himself up to loving a dog again? He had far more questions than answers. But then came Grace.
Together, Larry and his beloved yellow lab Gracie brought hope and healing to hundreds of sick and lonely people. But when Larry's own life takes a shocking and terrifying turn, it's up to Gracie to rescue Larry and his family too.
- Perfect for those looking for gifts for dog lovers and fans of animal stories
- Told with humor and heart
- Full of life lessons
Written by Jennifer Marshall Bleakley (Joey and Pawverbs) and Larry Randolph, Finding Grace is the inspiring true story of a man willing to take a leap of faith and the four-legged companions by his side.

Story
Talking about death and dying is considered taboo in polite company, and even in the medical field. Our ideas about dying are confusing at best: Will our memories flash before our eyes? Regrets consume our thoughts? Does a bright light appear at the end of a tunnel? For most people, it will be a slower process, one eased with preparedness, good humor, and a bit of faith. At the forefront of changing attitudes around palliative care is hospice nurse Hadley Vlahos, who shows that end-of-life care can teach us just as much about how to live as it does about how we die.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

Encouraging book
Loved the story. While at times the backdrop of the story was intense, so is life. If you love dogs, love your faith and want a wonderful story full of both, this is it. Narrator did a great job.

Canines for Christ = Jesus in Fur
This book will make you laugh & cry over & over again. If you have a dog, love dogs, or just want to read about dogs, this book is for you! I have a service dog who is very much like a therapy dog for others we come in contact with so we started researching therapy dog organizations. We started therapy dog classes & started looking for the right organization for us to volunteer with. The mission of C4C lined up with our mission as my service dog is a blessing to all we meet out in the world. I highly recommend this book! Thank you Larry, Susan, Cody, Gracie, Jennifer & all those who are involved! God bless you!
