Publisher's summary

With no word from Kyja, the people of Farworld are beginning to face the possibility that she is truly dead, and the quest to save Farworld and Earth has failed. In an effort to find a way to bring Kyja back, Marcus must enter the most dangerous place possible, the Realm of Shadows. Meanwhile, Kyja wakes up in a world of lost souls and memories. With no idea who she is, she wanders Fire Keep, home to the most quick-tempered of the elementals. The other spirits around her have given up hope. But Kyja is driven by a strong sense that something is wrong and getting worse. A familiar voice warns her that time is running out. To recover her memories, she must face a literal trial by fire. Can Marcus survive the Realm of Shadows to reach Kyja? Can Kyja survive Fire Keep in time to regain her memory? Time is running out for Kyja, Marcus, and their worlds, and the Dark Circle's real plan is only now beginning to be revealed.

wonderful adventure story, great conclusion

Wonderful adventure, great conclusion to the series! Voice artist did a great job, especially as he was not the artist for any of the other books.

Change in Narrator

Having a male narrator for the 1 - 3 books and then randomly switching to a female narrator ruined the book. It gave all the characters a totally different feel and was hard to re-identify each individual person

Farworld

This was a story I throughly enjoyed, and it’s something I can relate with. I can mostly relate because I live in Arizona and have bone deformities throughout my body, and it hasn’t turned me into a spiteful, hateful person...it’s only made me #shortandbitter 😳😉🤔 Personally I wish it was me having magic, that would’ve made it relatable, but being #shortandbitter ain’t so bad. 😎 In all seriousness, I love how this series started out, but the ending felt so rushed and I like Shea Taylor as a narrator, but not in this story (sorry Shea, I still think you’re awesome brother!). After finishing Fire Keep, it makes me wonder if J. Scott Savage (Savage) was going to write a 5th book in the series called “Shadow Realm,” or maybe “Shadow Keep,” I truly hope Savage will continue writing in this world, because the possibilities are endless!

What just happened in the end??

I enjoyed the story over the several books including this last book, but the end seemed rushed and hard to believe. I guess I expected more of a finale in the end after listening to these over the last several years. I liked the moral driven story though.

Oh Come On

Great series. Butttt the ending felt like a big middle finger. All a cosmic joke. Thanks for spending your time and money.
